· We talked about the upcoming snow camping trip.
· We decided in patrols who was going on the backpack and who was going on the car camp. This will be a two-night campout.
· Car campers and backpackers will be camping separately.
· Discussed what to bring and what to wear on the campout.
· Wear comfortable boots. Mr. Kreitz mentioned Sno-Seal to waterproof your boots for the snow. Scouts showing up in sneakers won’t be allowed to go.
· Never wear cotton – it will get wet, never dry out.
· For sleeping, use a blue tarp and use a foam pad.
· Mr. Sullivan suggested silk long underwear worked the best.
· We also welcomed 4 new scouts into Troop 479.
