The Troop 479's Scribe's Scribbles
This is where the scribe of troop 479 posts notes from the meetings.
11/1/06
· All scouts were invited to hear our greatly appreciated guest speakers from England and Scotland during the Citizenship in the World merit badge class.

· Scouts discussed and practiced stove safety with Mr. Chisholm. We discussed fuel types and the proper way to use a stove. Everyone got a chance to light a white gas stove. We also discussed the appropriate stove for different conditions. For more details, please refer to your handout.

· Troy received eight merit badges because he could not attend the court of honor. He was also awarded the scuba patch.

· Evan and Mr. Knapp were awarded the scuba patch.

· We discussed the campout at Mataguay that will go from 11/10-11/12. This will be a car camp and will give scouts an opportunity to earn service hours. Patrol leaders need to work out 2 Dinners, 2 breakfasts, and a lunch. It was suggested that the patrol leaders coordinate meal plans to avoid over spending and wasting food.
