Well, I guess all of you people out there want the bad news first ok here goes the weekend the Rangers really could have gained ground on the Athletics well they lost it...why? Well let us see they were swept of all places in Kansas City and the pitching was mediocre. The Rangers pitching the second half of the season is really not what it needs to be going into the last couple of months of the season. The Rangers need starting pitching and need it bad...I mean if they have to trade for it then DO IT. On top of that the Rangers traded their best base stealer to the Cleveland Indians of all people for a catcher...ok I have to disagree with this trade why a catcher the Rangers have a plentiful amount of those right now and seem to be getting more. The Rangers if anything should have traded him for a pitcher and they need pitching so if they are going to do it they need to do it before the trade deadline tomorrow at 3 pm CDT.
Ok that was the bad news the good news for some Rangers fans is that Mark Teixeira is still in a Rangers uniform...but hey they don't have much time anything could happen. The Rangers are still getting offers and strong ones from the Diamondbacks, Braves, and Angels. The truth of the matter is do the Rangers wanna trade him to a contending AL West team probably not...if you trade someone you don't want it to backfire on you and honestly Atlanta would be the best place for him. The Rangers Jon Daniels is still getting offers from the Braves but has yet to say YES to it...which would include a pitcher...come on Jon what more else can you ask for. The Diamondbacks maybe late but he has been listening to offers from them also. And the Angels have been pushing for TEX but the two sides can't agree on the third player...so more than likely if he is going anywhere like I have said before he is going to Atlanta. The Rangers need to worry about the future and the truth is that TEX is NOT going to be a part of it longer they need to get a pitcher in return otherwise they will be kicking themselves for a while GUARANTEE IT.
The Rangers take on the Cleveland Indians tomorrow and will get to see their old teammate Kenny Lofton again. The Rangers will send out Brandon McCarthy and the Indians will send out the young and talented Carmona. The Rangers did get a bit of good news and that is that Ian Kinsler is going to be activated for the game in Cleveland. Be sure to watch the Rangers on MY27 as the gametime is 6:05pm cdt...and guys GET ER DONE THIS TIME.
