Rangers battle against Sabathia but Loe has rough start

The Rangers and Kameron Loe came out hot in the first inning as the Rangers went one two three and then Loe came out and gave Sabathia the same dose of that medicine. The problem with Kameron Loe came in the second inning much like the game before that when Kevin Millwood gave up four runs in the second. The diffence in the game that Millwood pitched and the one Kam Loe pitched last night is that the Rangers came back to score 3 in the second and get them to within one. It all started when Wilkerson doubled in a 4-1 lead by the indians and then Sabathia hung a curveball over the center of the plate to Gerald Laird and in the dynamics of the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington he got southerly winds and it carried straight to center field. The Rangers tied the game in the third inning as the bases where loaded and one out and then Kenny Lofton came up who had already 2 line shots to defenders in two innings and then took one that looked like it would go up the middle but Grady Sizemore took him for the Double play. That was NOT the only frustrating thing of the game the Rangers had plenty of opportunities to score runs and get to the best pitcher in the Major Leagues but just couldn't get it done. The final score in the game though was a very close 7-5 win by the Cleveland Indians.

The Rangers did get a shot in the arm when they did find out that Akinori Otsuka could not really pitch without the pain in his shoulder. The Rangers Dr. Keith Meister took a look at him and did some MRI's and they come up negative but the Rangers feel best to put him on the 15 day DL with tendinitis. This is good news and bad news why you may ask so here you go. The good news about this is that his trade value is going to go down and he is more than likely NOT going anywhere because teams want healthy players and the Rangers don't want to get screwed again. The bad news about this is that the Rangers are without one of the best setup men in the game of baseball and Eric Gagne's setup buddy. The Rangers did call up Scott Feldman from triple a to pick up his spot in the rotation so they should be ok. The Rangers take on the Indians in game two of this four game series and will look to go on out there and GET ER DONE.
