The Texas Rangers last night completed their seventh series win in as many series and what is most impressive is that they have done it against first place teams. The Rangers last night got the fourth of July off with a bang and took the win and now have won the series against the first place Anaheim Angels. The Rangers with that win last night have now won 11 out of their last 15 games. Now someone may want to know what in the world has got into this team and you know I have said it many times before and will continue to say it....TRUST...has got into this team. With the trust that the team instills in their manager Ron Washington this team is starting to see what Washington wanted and knew he would see all year long. The Rangers have had consistant pitching in these last 15 games and they have stepped up to the challenge despite some injuries along the way.
Speaking of injuries the Texas Rangers placed Ian Kinsler on the DL with a stress fracture to the ankle and activated the longtime ML player Desi Relaford. Despite that bit of bad news the Rangers did get some good news and that is that Teixeira is healing up just nicely and is well on a path to return the first game after the All Star game. Vicente Padilla is getting back to were he could possibly be back in the next couple of weeks also. So with the addition of the fire power back in the Rangers lineup the second half of the season this team if and I think they will continue to play the way they are right now this team could really make a statement and even come back to make it close to the playoffs and if we are lucky they could even make it this year...if the other teams fall flat on their face the second half.
I want to thank all of you who continually post on this site and remember if you ever have a Rangers question feel free to post it and I will get to it the next possible day. The Rangers will look to sweep the Angels and will send out Robinson Tejada who has had his ups and downs this year and the Angels will counter with Escobar who is an amazing 9-3 on the year. The gametime for the boys is seven thirty five and you can watch it on your cable provider FSN SW. GOOD LUCK BOYS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
