Jamey Wright in his next to last start was to what manager Washington said was "exceptional" giving up five runs on six hits but when he left the game they had the lead. The rangers on Saturday decided they were going to go with Wright in the fifth spot and move Loe into long relief and bumping Benoit who has been scoreless in the last 7 2/3 innings to the seventh inning. The rangers bats were too hot on the game last night with the seattle mariners...both lofton and young were 3 for 4 and young had a couple of runs and a couple of RBI's...this all coming on the night that the rangers were going to start all there regulars but Sosa did not play(stomach virus and is day to day) and Blalock who is doing better but his wrist is still hurting so Washington did not want to push him at least not now, but you can expect that during the season he WILL expect it.

In other news the rangers acquired Astacio from the Houston astros on waivers and are designating Bauer who is going to be traded or claimed on waivers the next couple of days. Bauer was in the bullpen last year and was all that and a bag of chips last year but this spring he had a 15.00 to 16.00 era and the rangers were NOT going to take that with them into the season they want the best available team to get to the playoffs. The rangers are too trying to find a home for Bruce Chen who has been asked about all this spring and my thought on that is that he will be traded before thursday of this week...to whom I have no idea. Other than that the rangers team sure seems to be set and honestly if everyone can perform this year then everything will be just fine, but if not then we will have problems, but guess what? I am not worried because I WILL SEE YOU IN THE PLAYOFFS.
