The Rangers got bullied around for the first time in three games last night by the Minnesota Twins. Of course, it did not help matters that they were facing the AL Cy Young winner last year Johan Santana. The Rangers got the quick lead on a Sammy Sosa homerun but then it fell apart from there. The Rangers starter Kameron Loe got beat on two 3-1 pitches to Justin Morneau who ended the game with 2 homeruns and 5 RBI's. The truth of the matter of this game is that the Rangers were beat fair and square by Minnesota first by Santana who had 13 strikeouts in the game and then the two relievers for the Twins had combined 5 more strikeouts leaving them with 18 strikeouts in the game. The Rangers just need to brush this one off and go into todays game thinking that they can win it and win the series. The Rangers have showed one thing and one thing consistantly in the last few games and that is that the defense is really starting to mesh together and if the defense holds teams to a few runs or even no runs then they will have the bats to back that up. This team is showing sudden signs of improvement and I really think that by the All Star Break they are really going to get their act together and start being the team that everyone thought they were.
On a side note, I want to congratulate the city of Arlington for winning the bid of the Superbowl in 2011, just two years after the new Cowboys stadium is going to be completed. But here is the problem and some of you may argue and if you want to go right ahead and post an argument no worries. The Cowboys season is going to start in September like it always does and the Rangers season is going to end when it always does meaning that some of the games are going to be on some of the same Sundays. Now answer this for me what are they(the city of Arlington) going to do to keep the traffic from being chaos? The traffic is already chaos just going to a Ranger game they have all the streets blocked around the stadium and if you want to go that way they(city of arlington police) reroute you another way...No wonder the city of Arlingtons crime is worse around those time...that should give it away.
Well, that is my rant for the day be sure to watch the Rangers and Robinson Tejada try to win the series against the Twins today at 1:05pm. The Rangers have tomorrow off and then it is the Boston Red Sox for three and on Friday night the Rangers get their first look at Dice-K and his gyroball. So good luck to the Rangers and KEEP UP THE FAITH...that is what these guys really need...REALLY FAITHFUL FANS.
