Rangers lose two out of three in Seattle; Errors prove costly

Just when we thought the Texas Rangers were getting hot and things were starting to come together they prove that it was all a fluke. This weekend in review had all types of ups and downs, including Gagne and Kinsler.

Friday night of the series with Seattle the Texas Rangers pulled off the victory and how did they do it. They did it with consistant pitching and great defense. Not only that but the day that Eric Gagne gets off the disabled list the Texas Rangers used him to close out the game and he did it with great diligence. Ok, now that was the good stuff about the weekend series.

The Texas Rangers then on saturday lossed 8-3 and now Vicente Padilla is 0-3 on the season. He is getting absolutely roughed up and honestly I think if anyone in this organization does NOT like the new manager it is him. Last year Buck Showalter would let Padilla pitch on the inside and he is still doing that even though the Rangers have asked him to alter his pitching style a little bit. This is becoming another one of those cases were the rangers sign a person and they decide they want to flop on the team and yes I SAID IT HE IS FLOPPING AND POUTING. The only good thing about this game is that Sammy Sosa knocked his second home run of the season and is now just 10 away from 600, but what honestly lost this game is the errors 3 to be exact...they need to work on that if they want to win.

Last night the Texas Rangers just proved that the errors were not out of their systems they committed 3 again last night 2 of which came from the Rangers backup third baseman who was filling in for Blalock who had the game off. Then another one come from Kameron Loe who had one on a throwing error which is CRAP. The Rangers want this guy as their fifth starter, I am telling you and will continue to tell you that Bruce Chen is and would be my candidate for the fifth starter role. The Rangers have too much riding on this season NOT to let him start. It would give them a solid number 5 starter in front of a solid number one starter because the Rangers need someone to go back to back and help them in the rotation and Loe IS NOT the man CHEN IS. I realize he is older but the truth of the matter is the Rangers are going to lose something good again and then they are really going to kick themselves because they DID NOT listen to me.

In other news, Ian Kinslers bat remains hot for the Texas Rangers he hit a ninth inning home run for the Rangers. The Rangers second baseman has hit 6 on the season and he is tied with the Yankees Alex Rodriguez for the AL lead. OK, who would have ever thunk that the Rangers second baseman who is only in his second full season would be popping the ball off the bat like crazy. Honestly, if anyone deserves the credit it is the Rangers hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo who has made the bats of Juan Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez and the other Rangers hitters into power hitters. I am going to make the call early in the season Ian Kinsler will have more than 25 home runs this season and have more than 90 RBI's.

The Texas Rangers have Monday off and will fly to Chicago to take on the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. The Rangers will send out the 1-1 Robinson Tejada against the White Sox fierce Garland who has yet to get a win. The Rangers will take them on for three games and then return home for yet another home game in which maybe they will start getting hot in Chicago and go from there.
