Rangers fall to Rays Wright in pain

The Texas Rangers last night under the powerful arm of Robinson Tejada fell 6-5. I know you want to know about the good and the bad. SO here you have it starting with the good.

The Texas Rangers got 2 home runs from Michael Young whose bat started to get hot last night and Ian Kinsler added another home run to his resume also now only trailing A-Rod in the ML. Ian Kinslers bat has been hot and will continue to be hot as long as the Rangers hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo keeps working with him. Kenny Lofton and the others did ok but Kenny and Frank the Cat got the last home run off for Michael Young who then jacked a shot to right field.

Alrighty that was the good now here is the bad. The Texas Rangers starter Robinson Tejada gave up six runs and ten hits over a span of five innings. The first three innings of the game were the worse for the young man but then he settled down and gave up no runs the last two innings. In other bad news, Jamey Wright is now complaining of discomfort in his shoulder and maybe put on the DL. The Rangers have to send one player down to open up a spot for Eric Gagne on the roster and it maybe that Wright is the one sent down. If that is the case the Rangers would look at either starting Bruce Chen or Kameron Loe as the fifth starter when they need it on the 21st of this month. Other bad news and yes this is it is that Sammy Sosa returned to the lineup last night and did not do anything special and is now batting .146 or so and has only that one home run. The Rangers are saying they do not want to give up on Sammy just yet but I would give him a month and a half and if he does not start to perform give the younger guy Cruz the chance.

I really think if the rangers are going to give anyone a chance for that fifth spot let Chen have the chance. He not only proved that he could hang in the spring training games but has a few games that he has pitched well in. So give him the chance and I guarantee the Rangers won't go wrong and we WILL SEE YOU IN THE PLAYOFFS.
