Rangers fall in Anaheim

Ok everyone this is not the start that everyone was hoping for but I can honestly say things will get better. The Texas Rangers fell to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4-1. Millwood was ok in his opening day start but giving up 3 runs and Lackey and the Angels bullpen were phenominal. Gary Matthews Jr. robbed the Rangers a couple of times in what they thought were going to be extra base hits but low and behold superman came out to play.

But there was some good news in all of this and that is Kenny Lofton got his 600th stolen base in the first inning and then he followed that later in the game by stealing third base...so Washington is doing what he said he is getting guys in scoring position the only problem with last night was that they would get in scoring position and they would get stranded. I really do think if the Rangers keep doing this and Washington has kept his word so far then they will get the idea guys get on base you drive them in. In other good news the lone Texas run came off of the bat of youngster Ian Kinsler who cracked the first ranger homer of the year.

The Texas Rangers will take on the Angels yet again tonight sending out Vicente Padilla to the mound against the Angels Kelvim Escobar the game starts at 9:05pm central time and hopefully they get the station right...because it was NOT on my ESPN 2 station last night. So let's watch the Rangers and hopefully we will see you IN THE PLAYOFFS.
