The weekend in review

The Texas Rangers finished spring training on a up note in the fact that the rangers got 5 quality innings out of Robinson Tejada. Ok it was more than quality it was a shutout when the boy left the game and that is something that manager Ron Washington wanted to see is that he could perform and bounce back after a bad outing and boy did he do that. Michael Young and Kenny Lofton were on their A game again and if those two boys get on the stick this team could be more than what people think they are going to.

Ok, I know you are wondering what the heck happened to the game on Friday night in Frisco. Well, if you do not live in North Texas then you have a legitimate question it rained out, but if you live in North Texas where were you? It rained, rained, rained, and rained a whole lot more. If you had tickets to that game you can if you would like take them to the box office and get tickets for the games in the regular season with the exception of a few games and to see those games go to the Texas Rangers website and/or call the box office.

The Texas Rangers kick off the season against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 9:05pm central time. The Texas Rangers will send to the mound their opening day starter Kevin Millwood and the Angels will send John Lackey to the mound. All Millwood has to do is throw strikes and this team will go down.

I am going to be the first to tell you that the sportswriters are WRONG. If you have NOT already heard all the sportswriters including ones in the DFW area have the Rangers in DEAD LAST. What kind of CRAP is that? One thing that really ticks me off is that these guys go by what has happened in the years past. Most people don't realize that but that is how they do it...and if you have not already thought about it all the years that the Texas Rangers have been put in dead last by all the sportswriters out there they have WON THE WEST. Look at 96, 98 and 99 all of those years the Texas Rangers were shunned by sportwriters so this is how I see it if you are going to write stuff about the Texas Rangers you BETTER HAVE THE FACTS. I may not be the best person to blog this stuff but I can tell you one thing and that is SEE YOU IN THE PLAYOFFS.
