Mitchell Report out but current Rangers NOT on the list and the Rangers sign Fukumori to 2 year deal

Ok after the long awaited wait by Major League players and officials the names from the Mitchell Report were released and NO current(and I repeat NO current Rangers) are on the list. The names on the list include those of the following:

Jose Canseco(um that was obvious)

Juan Gonzalez

Rafael Palmeiro

Kevin Brown

Gary Matthews Jr.

Eric Gagne(good thing they decided not to sign him to a contract)

Jerry Hairston Jr(did not offer him arbitration and THANK GOODNESS)

Sammy Sosa

David Segui

Greg Zaun

Mike Stanton

Chad Allen

Ismael Valdez

Steve Woodard

John Rocker(that would explain all the outbursts of racism he always had)

Manny Alexander

Randy Velarde

The Texas Rangers Vice President Jim Sundberg had this to say and I quote" As an organization the Texas Rangers applaud the Mitchell Committee".  "The use of performance enhancing drugs is a serious issue in our sport. We support the changes that have already been made and stand ready to implement new testing procedures and protocols, when approved by MLB." Thank you to the texas rangers this is a quote from there site and is ONLY a quote...so please don't sew me.

Now my question to you is what kind of changes do you think that the MLB should make if any? Honestly this has been going on so long and it is like a disease just because you caught these guys doesn't mean you are going to catch them all. This is what I think and only my opinion... I think that MLB should have random and I said random drug tests just like what they are having to do in high schools now....other than that I have no idea...maybe an astrict by the names of those that are already in the hall of fame...or maybe not even give those who cheated the chance to be in the Hall(sorry Clemens and Pettite but that is what you get for cheating hehe).

On a good note, the Rangers did agree to terms with Kazuo Fukumuri the Japan native that so many teams were already looking to get. It is about time we reeled one in from out of underneath the noses of other major league clubs. The term is reportedly a two year deal that is worth 3 million dollars. The Rangers have been looking for relief for the back end of the bullpen and got it just one day after getting rid of a fellow Japanese star Akinori Otsuka. The stats on this young fellow are that which follows: pitched 36 innings last year for the japan team posting a 4-2 record with a 4.75ERA before having to undergo surgery for bone chips in his pitching elbow. This move that the Rangers made will sure up the back end of the bullpen by adding to a list that include Wilson and Benoit and Fukumori will also be in the running with those two young men for a closing role in the Rangers organization. Now that the Rangers made this move do you think that this is the right move by the Texas Rangers or do you think they need to make a couple of more moves? Stay tuned to this blog for the latest up to the minute Texas Rangers moves.
