Rangers snatch Bradley from Padres; Washington gets his wish and an early Christmas Present
The Texas Rangers have tentatively reached a one year agreement with Milton Bradley worth 5 million dollars with incentives that include more based on performance much like the Kevin Millwood deal. This is great news for manager Ron Washington who said in the winter meetings that it would be great to have him in the Rangers organization. Washington and Bradley were first introduced in his days back with the Oakland Athletics and the Rangers seem happy with snatching him away from the Padres. You see just when the Rangers thought that he was going back to the Padres Thursday night they got a phone call that said that they got him....HOLY NUTS BATMAN! In an offseason that has not exactly went the way that the Rangers have wanted it to go this is a bit of good news along with the news out of Japan that Fukudome has said that he has made a decision to play in the Majors in the states. The bad news on the Rangers front is that it looks like LaTroy Hawkins is going to sign with the NY Yankees and Eric Gagne is going to sign with the Milwakee Brewers.  So in a year that the Rangers have not got exactly what they have wanted it looks like someone in the Rangers organization has found something he wanted under the Christmas tree. Hopefully the Rangers will turn up the steam a little bit and acquire some more pieces to the puzzle that they have been missing in Texas and that is ALOT of pieces. Well I guess I better let all of you go for now and remember to stay tuned to this blog for the latest Texas Rangers news...p.s btw Congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys on winning their first division title since 1998...HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS.
