Simon,

Congratulations on the review. I really must pick up this book. So many books, so little time.

Hi Michael- many thanks for the kind words. It's a damn good anthology with some excellent stries and very few weaker ones. But I know exactly what you mean about books vs time...

Good job on the review, Simon. Mine didn't get a mention :-(

I just received Hazy Shade in the post a few days ago and am looking forward to all the Bestwick-goodness.

Oh, yes, and welcome to the world of blogging. Run while you can.

Thanks, Simon. Hope you enjoy the collection! Really liked 'When Sorrows Come'.

Took me a while to get a blog going... god help us all.

No, honest, I did enjoy it. My favourites would have to be Keris McDonald's 'Hell Hath No Fury', Paul Finch's 'The Tank', John Whitbourn's 'A Pillar Of The Church', Reggie Oliver's 'Mr Poo-Poo' (despite the title), and Steve Duffy's 'Lie Still, Sleep Becalmed'. Also really rated Joel Lane's 'Blue Train' and Gary McMahon's 'My Grandfather's Ghosts', as well as your piece. In fact, there was hardly a weak 'un there.
