Coming Soon...
Actually nearly typed 'Coming Son' as the title for this entry. Freud is calling...
OK, so what does the immediate future hold?
Come autumn time, I'm very proud to announce upcoming appearances in two major anthologies. David A. Sutton (co-editor, with Steve Jones, of the Dark Voices and Dark Terrors anthologies, and generally one of the UK's most prestigious editors for horror fiction), will be publishing my novella The School House in his anthology Houses On The Borderland. I'm glad he did, as this was not the easiest of pieces to write (emotionally, I mean, although I was pretty knackered physically at the time)- but that's another story. Houses On The Borderland is being published by the British Fantasy Society. The initial plan was to bring it out in time for FantasyCon, in September, but last I heard there was a question mark over that as the size of the anthology (so many stories David liked!) might cause the date to be put back. Rest assured you'll know as soon as I do.
In October, Tor Books will be publishing Inferno, the new horror anthology from Ellen Datlow, the USA's foremost editor in the genre. It's with no small amount of pride/swelled head that I announce I'm in there with a short story, Hushabye.
Next year, two more novellas will be out- The Narrows, in We Fade To Grey, edited by that excellent writer Gary McMahon (www.garymcmahon.com) , and Angels Of The Silences in Triquorum, edited by Chris Teague. Both will be published by Pendragon Press (www.pendragonpress.co.uk)
Watch this space for more...
Simon.
