Ever since November last year when I moved house, a tape of 2 messages preached by my pastor has been missing. I found it last week, lol, after all this time. It was in a box behind the sofa that I hadn't unpacked. I decided to put it on this morning as I prepared myself for the mammoth task of cleaning my kitchen. I like to listen to the word of God when I am doing housework, it distracts me from the monotony of it and also strengthens me spiritually as I hear it, (the word being spiritual food)!! The message was entitled "Present Day Signs" and was preached 2/1/2005.
I want to share some of what I heard as it came through with fresh clarity. It reminded me of how easy it is to become dull concerning what is going on behind the scenes in the spiritual realm. Things are not always what they seem.
The following is a mixture of notes taken from the taped message and my own thoughts.
Let me start with this statement:
Satan is using the plight of the starving.
You may find this statement a bit far reaching but it is the truth.
Let me explain.
Isn't it amazing how people are moved to help and to give when a disaster such as the tsunami happens but they can't put their hearts right with God. Why?
Peoples emotions are touched, great charitable giving follows, almost to the point of trying to attain salvation through good works. But this is all part of a move towards global unity in diversity, unifying the world. The faiths uniting, joining together for prayers etc is all part of the unity that Satan is bringing about worldwide.
Don't misunderstand here, it is good to give when there is a need. In fact we ourselves pray that aid will reach the starving, they need it or they will die. But using this as part of a plan to unify the world is a work of Satan, and it is very subtle. It is all geared towards bringing about mans false millenium, with a false peace.
When Princess Diana died people were crying for her who would not normally have even thought about her. It was a spirit at work then, and also in greater measure through the tsunami crisis, it is the spirit of antichrist at work, and there is much more coming. It started in a small way with Princess Diana, i.e. playing on peoples emotions. Yet they won't give their hearts to Jesus, they resist Him and His people.
The New Age is upon us. And if you don't go along with the flow of it but stand apart and say "No. This is what God is saying," you'll be outlawed like Jesus was. He didn't fit in with everybody, He gave the truth. This is what His people are called to do now however unpopular it makes them.
