There are so many things we really don't know.

Presently I'm reading a nicely written reportage by William Dalrymple. The Age of Kali. I was shocked to find out so many things about my own country. So many things I did not know! Or I would know but faintly.

There was a massacre in Hyderebad in the year 1948. Nerly two hundred thousnd people were brutlly killed, raped, or put into jail. I knew that Nehru sent army to Hyderabad and later to Goa. But the number of death was greater than people died in Punjub after pertition.

Our freedom came after a violent bloodshed. An unimaginable trauma was there. So many had to leave their own land where they had been born and brought up. So many boys and girls were born due to the torture their helpless mother had faced over and over again. But they had to bear. This is life.

Whether that kind of freedom we really wanted, or we could have waited a little longer is the mother of great debate.

The thing is we did not know such horrible things had happened to our countrymen for few people's power hunger.
