The Vacluse Inn was amazing, I highly recommend it! We woke up early and had a wonderful breakfast at the main house and left to begin the long trip. We drove through the Shenendoah Valley(pic) and then began the scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped in Vesuvius, VA and had lunch at Gertie's, the confederate flags were flying in the wind.   After driving all day we stopped in Floyd, VA for some dinner.  Finally it was time to get some zz's. We camped at Rocky Knob. This was the first time I was at a campsite since an overnight trip to Bear Mountain, NYwhen I attended Manhattan Beach Jewish Center Day Camp in Brooklyn. Bryan set up the tent and got everything organized so that I would be oh so comffy.
