The Cu Chi tunnels are famous for the role in facilitating the Viet Cong control of a large rural area only 15 miles from Saigon. Today we took a CuChi tunnel tour but stopped at a place where wounded victims of the war make handicrafts. Do you think we bought anything? Then we stopped by the Cao Dai Temple, it was an amazing place. We watched a service and I noticed that the men and women had separate seating.... The rest of the afternoon was spent at the CuChi tunnels. After a day like today, we were very hungry, so as usual we over ordered at lemongrass Vietnam, a fancy place filled with tourists. The food and the service were splendid. We will miss this!
