I was baptized as Catholic. I also went to catholic school from kindergarten to 12th grade. I do follow the catholic beliefs. I also like learning about other religions. I must admit that I am not really a practicing catholic. I miss the latin mass and such.

Yes I do have deep religious beliefs. I believe in God and that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Presently I go to the Methodist Church. I don't agree with some of their ideas or doctrine. I was baptized, confirmed in the Lutheran Church. When married to my first husband we both joined my church. We had pledged a small amount to the church as wages weren't that great back then, and we were a young family. But when he was laid off that first winter it was bad for us. (We were lucky to be able to eat and pay rent and utilities on the amount we rec'd from unemployment.)
After 2 months had passed we received a bill from a collection agency from the church for the past due pledge. We both were upset and mad, defiantly embarrassed that we couldn't pay. I called the church explained the situation, the secretary then told me that they couldn't run a church on sob stories. Shocked and crying I then told her to drop our membership. I couldn't believe her attitude towards me. When my family found out they were shocked and withdrew from there too, but after my father had called and had his say. They had been in the church since day one.

My first husband has passed but when married to him we went to the Baptist Church. I divorced him after a bad marriage and six children. Lots of problems that couldn't be resolved. So after awhile I then married a man who was raised Roman Catholic and also had six children. He changed to Evangelical United Brethren when he married his first wife. This church combined with the United Methodist Church (UMC) many years back.

I have been going to the UMC for at least 15 years since living here. It is a small church with about 35 people attending on Sundays. It is mostly we the gray haired crowd attending. The younger folks have been going to the Assemblies of God Church since it opened up here in town. We have lost a number of our youth to them also. I really don't know if I'm in the right church yet. Time will tell.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (LDS/Mormon). My parents joined when I was 4 years old. I was baptized into the church when I turned 8 years old, by my father. I have always been active in my church. I can remember having a testimony of the church when very young. When I was interviewed before my baptism I was so nervous. I was afraid I wouldn't know enough and denied being able to get baptized. I was so excited when I passed! Now I realize the interview wasn't a test, they just wanted me to understand the covenant I made at baptism.

We have a prophet that leads our church, Gordan B. Hinckley. I believe he is a prophet of god. We have 12 apostles just like in Christ church of old. My church is very active in genealogy. I live in Utah and have many great genealogy resources available to me. This is an exciting thing for a genealogist. The most important thing to me as a member is the temple. I married my husband in the temple for Time and All Eternity. Which means not just for this life but forever. That is very important to me that my husband and children are sealed to me forever.

"I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints"- as the song goes. I attend the Alden branch in Alden, NY with my mom. Our branch has such wonderful people in it, and were very friendly and welcoming when I started going there. I was born into the religion, and it was so wonderful to be able to grow up learning the gospel. I love reading about church history, and am greatful to live so close to Palmyra. Every year I look forward to seeing The Hill Cumorah Pageant. I feel like I learn something new each year. It's exciting teaching my daughter the things I learned when I was little, and knowing that she will get baptized when she is 8.

I do remember when I first felt the Spirit. I was about 12 years old. In the Harrisena Community Church, a wonderful warm feeling came over me while in prayer. I saw a picture of Christ before my eyes. We joined The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when our children were young. It has been a wonderful way to bring up a family. My children and grandchildren are strong in the Church. My sons, Jim and Randy, served as Missionaries for the Church. My grandson Jay just returned from his Mission in Mexico. His brother Jordan will go in July. I served as Bishop of the Glens Falls Ward for 12 years. We built the Ward chapel. I also served on the Albany NY Stake High Council for 12 years. My favorite calling was that of a Sunday School teacher. All these callings were great but if I could do it over, I would have spent more time with my family. We attend Church every Sunday . My Church or Wanda's Church, The United Methodist Church. I don't think it makes any difference what Church you attend, if you feel the Spirit. If you don't feel the Spirit get out of there.

I'm LDS and I try to follow all of the beliefs that we have.. I'm not saying I'm great at it, I've got some things to work on... But in order to get what the Lord has promised me in my patriarchal blessing, I've got to follow what he asks me to..

I am a member of Christ Church United Methodist. I read my bible and do my devotions everyday. Since I have been ill, I haven't been able to get to church....but I still have a strong faith.

I can always remember believing in God and having a strong faith. I have never thought otherwise. I have been going to Christ Church United Methodist since I was young. I used to go with mom and have continued on with my husband and children. I became a member there back in 1989. Bill and I were married in that church also. He was Catholic at the time, but has since become a member. Mom tells of the stories of her and Aunt Nan going to Christ Church with Grandma Miller when they were little.
