The City of Haith
("Catnip")
Session Two
DM_Hallu: Soooooooo Ika's asleep from the heat, Lunos is lost in theological contemplation, Tobias is his usual quiet self, and Akavi is... uh... never mind about him. You do not see any more tigers for the next few minutes.
Markas_Tarmikos: "God, I almost died there."
Sonofzeal: "Are you alright, Markas? Shall I check you over?"
DM_Hallu: As you continue on your way towards the presumed location of the city of Haith, you notice a really subtle change in the jungle. Hard to put your finger on at first. It seems... more fertile and better grown, yet easier to get through.
Markas_Tarmikos: "Sure."
Sonofzeal: ((Heal check 16 to see Markas's status))
DM_Hallu: (Markas, what's your status? I've totally forgotten.)
Markas_Tarmikos: ((Currently I'm at 17/20HP))
Glru: "who is this zeal person, and why does he fondle skwirl?
Sonofzeal: (( =P ))
*** sonofzeal is now known as Healer_Lina
DM_Hallu: ((Glru, that shoulda at least had brackets around it))
Healer_Lina casts Cure Minor on Markas, and floats off into her own little headspace of hearts and flowers for a bit.
Glru: ((vupses. my bad))
DM_Hallu: A few minutes later you see... ANOTHER TIGER! Only upon closer inspection it's just a catfolk in simple clothing picking bananas. You see a few other Wildlings scattered throughout this part of the jungle, carefully harvesting things from various places while still leaving plenty enough for the jungle to sustain itself.
DM_Hallu: There are catfolk, brightly colored birds and froglings, some lizardfolk, some other stuff. Not too many together, though.
Healer_Lina: ((Birds and froglings? o.0 ))
Glru pauses for junglefruit if conveniently available.
DM_Hallu: ((yeah, it's a rainforest, what did you expect? polar bears?))
DM_Hallu: ((er... featherkin and froglings))
Healer_Lina blinks at the bizzare assortment and immediately begins scanning for slave masters.
DM_Hallu: Junglefruit is conveniently available! The other Wildlings blink at you in puzzlement as you munch a mango, but they say nothing.
DM_Hallu: You do not see any slave masters. Occasionally you see a more powerful looking Wildling giving gentle instructions to the other Wildlings, but since they're so spread out, it is mainly quiet.
Glru: "Junglefarm... is clever, Glru likes."
Glru nudges akavi "Who again are we to protect? and is secret mission or are we expected?"
Healer_Lina: "It's an odd mix, it seems like there's too much racial diversity for this to be natural behavior."
DM_Hallu: "We're expected. We're protecting someone by the name of Lord Mannington Schopler. He's supposedly the one who oversees all this." Akavi looks around, grudgingly impressed but not wanting to show it.
DM_Hallu: You come upon the city gates almost before you can see them. They are cleverly built into the fabric of the jungle, looking like merely a slightly thicker row of trees from a distance, but now you can see they are definitely gates. The trees and branches arc overhead into an unobtrusive doorway, guarded by a large oxfolk, with the words "CITY OF HAITH" tastefully carved above.
Markas_Tarmikos: "Hi there," Markas says cheerfully to the Oxfolk, trying to gauge their reaction.
DM_Hallu: The Oxfolk greets you politely. "Papers, please?" he says.
Markas_Tarmikos: "Umm... Papers?"
DM_Hallu: Akavi hands over some of the papers he got from his Seeker Volant, identifying you all as adventurers.
Markas_Tarmikos: "Ahh, those papers."
DM_Hallu: The Oxfolk motions to a human standing nearby and has the human read the papers. The human nods once or twice, looks up and down from the papers to you, jots a couple of things down on them, and then hands them back to the Oxfolk, who hands them back to you.
DM_Hallu: "Papers are in order," says the Oxfolk. "Welcome to Haith."
Markas_Tarmikos: Markas nods. "Thanks."
Healer_Lina nods politely to the Oxfolk and the human, and enters.
DM_Hallu: Haith, inside, is more recognizable as a city than the outside of Haith was as a farm. Which is to say, there are actual buildings and actual streets made of actual construction materials, and near the centre of town is a respectable-looking steam mill. But the buildings are built in strange contours so as not to disturb the local trees, covered with useful plants in all directions, with trees giving shade everywhere, and even the steam coming out of the steam mill's chimney looks unusually clean.
DM_Hallu: Akavi, following the directions on his map, leads you to a nice house, which is presumably the residence of Lord Schopler. Now that you are inside the city, you can see humans on the streets as well as Wildlings.
Healer_Lina: ((ack, brb))
DM_Hallu: ( k )
Markas_Tarmikos decides it would be smart for him to wait for Akavi or someone else in charge to make their move.
Healer_Lina is watching the interspecies interactions for any oddities ((but am still brb))
Glru looks around a bit, very impressed with the obvious mingling of earth and technology, very pleased by the result "When Glru owns a city, it will look like this."
DM_Hallu: Lina, you notice something odd. The Wildlings and humans don't seem to be lording it over each other or engaging in violence or resentful of each other or anything like that... in fact, they don't seem to notice one another at all. You rarely even notice humans and Wildlings going into the same building.
Healer_Lina: ((is un-brb'd! :D))
Healer_Lina: "Does anyone object to looking around town for a bit before meeting this fellow?"
DM_Hallu: Akavi frowns, not sure why that would be necessary, but not objecting as such.
Markas_Tarmikos: "Not me, I wouldn't mind checking this place out."
Glru: ((does glru also notice this not noticing of each other? if so, he makes note of the reaction, if any, to this obviously mixed group he travels with))
Healer_Lina: ((oh hey, and what's the population of this settlement, roughly?))
DM_Hallu: Glru, you do not notice the not noticing... but you do notice that a few people take a few moments to openly stare at you in particular. You are not sure what it is about you, as opposed to the rest of the group, that they find so surprising.
DM_Hallu: ((twelve thousand adults, give or take, about three quarters wildlings))
DM_Hallu: ((although there's a much higher concentration of humans here in the city; it may be closer to a 1:1 ratio in here.))
Healer_Lina: ((wooooooah..... so, like, BIG. =P ))
Glru naturally assumes that the staring is because he is large and magnificent, and possibly they admire his wrench.
DM_Hallu: (no! no wait! twelve HUNDRED, not twelve thousand!))
DM_Hallu: ((my mistake.))
Glru: ((oocly ifigure it's that they see a wilding with city-folk accoutrements))
Glru enjoys the attention, winking and waving to those who stare.
DM_Hallu: The people who were staring at you look down, embarrassed or confused, and hurry on their way.
DM_Hallu: ((so where do you guys go, if you're not gonna talk to your employer just yet?))
Glru mentions "many people look at Glru, but then when Glru waves, they pretend they did not look at Glru... this is strange."
DM_Hallu: "Maybe waving is a faux pas here?" says Akavi, looking around with guarded curiosity. A few people also stare at Akavi, but less so.
Healer_Lina: "And the humans go one way and the Wildlings another... well, Tobias, how about checking out the human side?"
DM_Hallu: "Uh, sure," says Tobias, cradling the sleeping Ika awkwardly in his arms.
Healer_Lina: "check out the human side with me"
Glru points out "the pretend not to look when Glru winks also..."
DM_Hallu: "You're just too suave for them, then," says Akavi shortly.
Glru: "Glru will take bunny and look where wildings go..."
DM_Hallu: "Which side should I go to?" says Akavi. "There doesn't seem to be an elvish side."
Markas_Tarmikos: "Didn't you just say not too long ago that you were a changeling?" Markas whispers to Akavi.
Healer_Lina: "Why don't you come with us, Akavi?"
Glru gives markas a helpful brainduster.
DM_Hallu: Akavi blinks, then gives you a strange, unreadable look. "...Good point," he says, and - finding a moment's privacy behind a tree - changes into a human for now.
DM_Hallu: Akavi goes with Lina and Tobias, and Tobias hands Ika to Glru. Ika stirs in her sleep but does not wake, latching onto Glru's shoulder like a little child.
Healer_Lina wanders with Team Human into the nearest building with colonial-race activity, and either introduces herself or apologizes for the interruption, as appropriate
Glru awwws and bosts Ika into a comfortable one armed carrying postion, carrying his wrench in the other hand "How long untill we meet? and where?
DM_Hallu: Many of the humans are walking in and out of the big steam mill.
Glru: ((i hope my question got asked before the humans bugged off?))
DM_Hallu: ((let's say it did. human(s)?))
*** Tobias joined #AVENdnd
Healer_Lina: "Oh.." *stops* "...how about here, in an hour or so?"
Healer_Lina: ((Yay Tobias!))
Tobias: ((what'd I miss, and is there a transcript?))
DM_Hallu: ((yay! someone want to recap for Tobias?))
DM_Hallu: I'll get you a transcript in 2 seconds -
Tobias: ((yaaaay))
DM_Hallu: Okay, so, let's assume you agreed on "here, in an hour or so".
DM_Hallu: While Tobias is reading, Glru and Markas can set off! Where do the two of you go?
Glru looks about to see where the majority of wildings are going, hoping for something tavern-y.
Glru assides to Markas "Squirl will keep please leash on smart tongue, yes?"
Markas: Hmm... I'll just follow Glru wherever he goes (Likely a tavern from what I'm seeing)
Markas: "Sure thing."
DM_Hallu: There are some taverns that the Wildlings seem to pass by completely, but eventually on the other side of town you find a place where many Wildlings seem to congregate.
DM_Hallu: Some of them are in taverns eating or drinking... others lounge around in what can only be described as small rooms built into trees or bushes. Not the kind of thing that elves would build, much simpler and more direct than that and also furnitureless, but vaguely reminiscent of it.
Tobias: ((caught up))
DM_Hallu: ((yay!))
Glru chooses one of the larger loungy-type areas if he can find one of mingled species.
DM_Hallu: You do indeed.
DM_Hallu: There are plenty of Wildlings lying around eating, drinking, or just chatting with each other (generally drinking nonalcoholic stuffs as it's only midafternoon). They look up at you very curiously, although they seem not to be as surprised by the sleeping bunny or the squirrel.
Glru checks for a serving wench, an if he can find one will sit near other wildings, if no server is evident he will himself belly up to the bar.
DM_Hallu: There is, in fact, a server, although it happens to be a teenage peacock boy. (because they have prettier feathers, that's why)
Glru looks around to see if there are other felines about, beginning to wonder just why so many yes are on him. he returns the stares with friendly smiles, and resists an urge to shout 'boogabooga'
*** Ika_Yorri joined #AVENdnd
Tobias: ((yay! Ika!))
Glru joins a conversation group should there be one about, hopefully with at least one feline
DM_Hallu: There are plenty of other felines about, although none right where you're sitting. But there are leopards, jaguars, tigers, and ocelots aplenty.
Glru: ((bhunneh!))
DM_Hallu: Aaaand Ika wakes up!
Markas: ((Would any of those Ocelots happen to be armed with pistols of a certain type, Hallu? :3))
DM_Hallu: Ika, you are on Glru's shoulder in a bar full of jungly Wildlings.
Healer_Lina: ((Ika! =D))
DM_Hallu: ((no they would not.))
Markas: ((Hee, so no Revolver Ocelots on the go then.))
Glru whispers into the bunny's ear so only she can hear "we are stealthy-learning why humans and wildings do not seem to see each other here."
Healer_Lina: ((You are also invited to the Unofficial AVEN D&D OOC room. =P))
Healer_Lina: ((" /join #AVENooc " if you wish ^^ ))
Markas: ((or just click the link))
Glru: ((oocly i'm pretty sure I've figured it out, but it would be improper to share this information i think...))
DM_Hallu: The Wildlings are looking at you and Markas with mild interest, since rabbits and squirrels are not common this far south, but they are staring with *much* greater astoundment at Glru.
Glru requests cold juice from the brightly feathered lad and salutes with his beverage vessle when it arrives, he does, for Glru, very subtle information gathering. "Hola!," he greets in feline to the nearest member of his species that happens to be staring "I've felt eyes on me from every corner since I arrived. am I so very pretty?" he asks jokingly.
Ika_Yorri orders a drink.
DM_Hallu: The feline, a relatively small tiger male, laughs at your joke. "No, it's... you really don't know?"
Tobias: ((by the way, is it alright if we just retcon Lina healing me from the battle with the tiger?))
DM_Hallu: ((sure.))
Glru shrugs "Only just arrived. Is it my markings or clothing or size or what?"
DM_Hallu: "It's your..." The tiger gestures bewilderedly. "Your giant wrench. Who let you have that?"
Glru HAs! with great pride, showing off his namesake "My teacher made this for me when I graduated from his apprenticeship and went on my journey. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? Is there some local thing against wrenches?
DM_Hallu: Several of the Wildlings around you shift uncomfortably. "No, but... but... well, it's pretty, but... it's a *human* thing, how can you use it? Or is it just a showpiece?"
DM_Hallu: ((Ika, Markas, you may or may not understand this conversation depending on if you speak Feline))
Markas: ((Markas can speak Feline))
Ika_Yorri: ((Ika cannot))
Glru: "Actually, it's a Dwarvish thing. You won't find many humans anywhere that can make one so fine. I use it quite well, not as well as my master, perhaps, but I hope to equal him someday."
DM_Hallu: "Dwarves, humans," says the tiger, waving a hand to indicate that there isn't much difference in his eyes.
Glru assuming Glru notices the blank stare from Ika, he assides to her dwarvish "they've not seen the like of my wrench, and they seem to be shocked by my having it."
Glru raises an eyebrow at the tiger "world of difference," he tell the feline. "Dwarves understand the bones of the earth. humans... well, humans are dabblers.."
Ika_Yorri: "Oh yeah?" Ika returns in Dwarvish, "Well, they might not get many ogres in these parts, and that thing looks about the right size."
Glru returns to Ika "they're upset a bit at me carrying 'a human thing', and don't seem to grasp the difference between dwarves and humans.
DM_Hallu: The tiger seems not to want to say any more, but a cow sitting near to you leans in, confidential-like. "You're not gonna want to talk too loud about using that thing around here," she says kindly, in passable but heavily accented Feline. "It's... well, I see you're not from here, but the way of thinking here is that it's not natural. Could make people suspicious."
Ika_Yorri: "You mean the beards? Or the... height?"
Glru plucks an oiled cloth from his haversack and gives his wrench a bit of a polishing, making sure it gleams and hasn't a speck of rust as he continues his conversation with the tiger and cow "it's not natural to do things that you have a knack for?"
Glru casually elbows ika.
DM_Hallu: The cow looks away, embarrassed into silence.
DM_Hallu: ((boy, akavi would love this, Glru using pronouns and articles left and right!))
Glru hmms and continues to Ika in dwarvish "it seems humans do 'human things' around here, and wildings do not. we've stomped into a taboo.
DM_Hallu: An ocelot sitting with the tiger pipes up "But don't you, like, lose your attunement if you do that stuff too much?"
Glru: "p'raps we should find out about the job, any ill will that might be stirred up?"
Markas: "I'll put in my 2 coppers. I've been using technology to some extent for a good while now, and I'm still quite in tune with the Earth."
Ika_Yorri: "Careful with the 'we', Glru. I doubt these folk look down on singin', aye?"
Glru hahs again "how could I be any less attuned to the earth mother when i hold her bones in my hands every day? She led me to my teacher."
Glru: "Metal is a part of the earth, a very special part."
Ika_Yorri snickers.
DM_Hallu: The ocelot looks surprised and vaguely sickened. "Ew, not when you *extract* it!" He gestures to his tiger friend. "I wouldn't be taking his bones out and holding them in my hands, now, would I?"
DM_Hallu: The tiger growls at him in a don't-even-think-about-it way.
Markas: "Just like you're taking off nature's extremities and consuming them, waiting for them to grow back, then repeating the process?"
Markas: "Face it, we all take something from the earth at some point."
Markas: "In time we give it back."
Glru taps his chin thoughtfully "I've seen some fine bone tools in my day. I saw some of us picking fruit on the way in, it it any more horrible than eating her flesh? she puts her bounty here to make her children strong and well, her flesh and her bones, her breath and her blood."
DM_Hallu: "Well..." The ocelot bites his lip. "That's true... but..." He leans forward. "Do you actually play with machines and everything and not lose your attunement?"
Ika_Yorri: "I'm not seeing any friendly expressions on these guys. Just what kind of mothers are you two insulting?"
Markas: "Glru'd be the one to ask for that. I just use technology now and again to help make life a bit easier."
Glru translates for Ika "they seem to think metal is an unnatural human thing... I'm edugating them"
Glru: "I think you need to understand the why is important, the what, not so much so."
Markas: "They think we're insulting mother earth."
DM_Hallu: The ocelot looks at you in an entire-worldview-being-altered kind of way. The rest of the people around you are looking deeply uncomfortable and not very happy with you.
DM_Hallu: "But, you've built machines," he presses. "And fixed them. And not just once, but lots of times?"
Glru: "if you went to work on the machines to make your life easier, and to make money, well then you'd probably loose your attunement. I work with metal to honour the earth and accept her bounty. that's why I learned how to work metal from a dwarf and not a human, they honour the earth too, though in a strange sort of way, not like the humans that gouge out what they want and throw the rest away."
Markas: ((Even Glru is in on Diplomancy these days. :o))
DM_Hallu: "But..." says the ocelot, and then he is interrupted by a couple of oxfolk bouncers escorting you out. "Please leave," they instruct you in broken Common. "We are good Wildlings here, we do not want trouble."
Markas: "Trouble? We were just having a discussion. Aren't we entitled to freedom of speech round these parts?"
Glru patpats his wrench "techknology is like a fine flint knife; it's not good or evil, it is a tool. you use it right, and it serves you well, you use it wrong and it'll slide you to ribbons. You can use the same knife to peel a fruit and cut leather for clothing or to slice someone's throat. the intent is more important than the tool."
DM_Hallu: "Please free your speech somewhere else," say the oxfolk, gently pushing you out of your seat. "We do not want any trouble."
Ika_Yorri complies with the oxfolk.
Glru: ((this is more like missionary work, Glru is disciple of the earth mother's bones))
Markas: "Alright then," Markas says, obviously miffed but not wanting to cause trouble.
DM_Hallu: Ok aaaaaaaaand... SCENE SWITCH!
DM_Hallu: Lina and Tobias (and nonexistent Akavi), where are you off to?
Glru stands, hefting his wrench, and switches to common "Glru will finish his drink, and his conversation, then Glru will leave. Bull will not lay hands on Glru that bull wishes to keep"
Healer_Lina: ((What's the nearest human-ish building?))
DM_Hallu: ((oooh. UN-SCENE-SWITCH! Glru wants to start some shit.))
Glru: ((Glru will not be handled without Glru's consent.))
DM_Hallu: The oxfolk hefts a sap. "This is our bar, not Glru's bar. Glru may take his drink and his conversation outside, and learn pronouns. In our bar we will not have trouble."
Markas: "Glru... please, don't start anything. I'm already tired out from that damn tiger."
Glru: ((should glru roll bluff or diplomacy or intimidate?))
Markas: ((Let Markas do some bluffing.))
Glru chuffs with humour "It was only one tiger, an was, what, 2 hours ago..."
Markas: Markas looks up at the Oxfolk. "Please, don't mind my friend. He's a bit... tipsy. Just remain calm, and I'll deal with it." ((bluff... 16))
DM_Hallu: The oxfolk look at you frowningly, but give you a bit of space to deal with your tipsy friend.
Glru turns back to the bull "Glru is certain, that bull, with fine use of language, understands courtosy. You will use it with Glru. You are not Glru's parent, or master or employer, thus you *ASK* Glru, you do not TELL Glru.
Markas: "Come on Glru, let's get out of here without causing too much of a scene. Mannington wouldn't appreciate it if we made bad news on our first day here."
DM_Hallu: The oxfolk crosses his arms. "Fine, we ask you please get out of our bar please."
Glru tips his cap "This is much better." he addresses the few he was speaking to before, once again in feline "If you wish to speak more, I will be around for a day at least, perhaps longer if I accept the contract I've been offered."
Glru: ((NOW you can sceen change :D ))
DM_Hallu: The ocelot nods a bit, but the others look away pointedly.
DM_Hallu: REAL SCENE SWITCH!
DM_Hallu: The nearest human-ish building is the steam mill. Glru twirls his wrench jauntily on his way out.
Healer_Lina heads towards the Steam Mill.
Tobias follows after Lina.
DM_Hallu: The steam mill is full of human (and the occasional gnome or halfling) workers, mostly in uniforms. There's a guard at the door, but he seems pleasant enough when he inquires about your business there.
Healer_Lina: "Greetings. I and my companions are new in town, and were hoping to become acquainted with this fair city before deciding whether to stay, and this looked like as good a spot as any to start."
DM_Hallu: "Certainly! Go right in, feel free to ask someone who's not busy if you have any questions."
DM_Hallu: "Please leave your weapons at the door, though," he adds as an afterthought, to Tobias.
Tobias complies and leaves his sword and sling at the door before looking around curiously.
Healer_Lina: "Thank you. Oh... and we arrived in the company of some wildlings. Should we invite them round later as well, or would that be a faux pas in these parts?"
DM_Hallu: "They... could be given a tour, I suppose," says the guard cautiously.
DM_Hallu: The mill is sparklingly clean and very different from the big mills you get in Beachhead. Instead of doing one process at a high volume, it is designed to do a lot of different things VERY well and efficiently and cleanly, at rather small volumes.
Healer_Lina: "Ah. Understood, and thank you." *enters*
DM_Hallu: You see many kinds of plant products being processed to be used later as food ingredients, quality furniture, or textiles, and many humans working hard at keeping things working.
Healer_Lina whispers to Tobias - "so they segregate, but there's reluctance about it."
Tobias seems mildly distracted by the workings of the mill, but turns his attention to Lina. "Seems a bit odd though, don't you think? I mean, it's almost like they don't even see each other."
Healer_Lina: "It almost seems like the humans feel guilty... or scared..."
Healer_Lina walks along the outside, observing the humans rather than the machinery, and looks for someone free to talk.
DM_Hallu: There seems to be a guy free to talk who has just finished up routine maintenence on a belt sander.
Healer_Lina stands and looks in his direction and smiles welcomingly.
DM_Hallu: The guy smiles at you. "Hi, miss! What can I do for you?"
Tobias trails along, occasionally stopping and watching something for a while before continuing.
Healer_Lina: "Oh, I was just taking a tour of the plant, but I feel a bit overwhelmed. Can you tell me about this place?"
DM_Hallu: "Well, this is where most of the manufacturing aspect of Haith's industry goes on," says the guy."
Healer_Lina: "I see much plant produce here, is that all you work with?"
DM_Hallu: "Food products have to be stored and packaged, grains have to be processed, lumber has to be milled - mind you, we don't take a *lot* of lumber," he adds hurriedly, "but every once in a while a couple trees here and there, and fabrics have to be woven. We make the best quality stuff here, miss. You can make sure to try a sample in our gift shop."
Healer_Lina: "Thank you, I'll be sure to stop by there."
Healer_Lina: "Oh... you said this was the manufacturing aspect; what other aspects are there?"
DM_Hallu: The guy gestures excitedly, clearly they don't get a lot of tourists here. "Well, there's the Wildlings who do the real planting and tending and harvesting, real sustainable-like, and there's an arts and crafts sector, we export some indigenous Wildling craft products as well as the occasional human stuff inspired by the jungle. Oh, and not just plants, ma'am, we also herd animals a little. But they're free to roam through the jungle most of their lives, much better lives than the farm animals get around Beachhead."
Healer_Lina: "Ah... yes, I see. Do any Attuned humans work with them?"
DM_Hallu: The guy frowns. "No. Why would they do that?"
Healer_Lina: "Why, for the same reason the Wildlings would."
DM_Hallu: The guy shrugs, seemingly uninterested in this. "Well, they don't. Would you like to see the gift shop?"
Healer_Lina: "Yes, it sounds lovely. Would you show me the way?"
DM_Hallu: He shows you the way. The gift shop is cute and (surprisingly) sells gifts.
Healer_Lina makes a show of examining a few items and looks for Tobias and Akavi.
DM_Hallu: Akavi looks very bored by all of this but examines some of the fabrics available.
DM_Hallu: May I assume you guys all get back together, then?
Tobias is looking around the gift shop, but doesn't seem as enthralled as he was by the steam mill.
Tobias: ((sounds good))
Healer_Lina picks up some small trinket, preferably a religious one, hopefully for her featherkin friend's god.
DM_Hallu: (that will be 8 sp.)
Healer_Lina: (done)
DM_Hallu: ..........oh gosh i totally forgot about Lunos. Okay, uh, he was with Glru and Markas and Ika but he was being reeeeeeally quiet.
Tobias: ((hehehe))
Glru: ((he was nailed to his perch))
DM_Hallu: So, uh...
DM_Hallu: *people meet up*
Glru considers soaking his feet in the fountain while waiting for the humans, but just plays in it with his fingers instead.
Ika_Yorri: "I was... not awake for the planning phase. What is our plan? The whole plan? And why?"
Glru: "There is good news! Glru did not hurt anyone while getting thrown out of bar!"
Tobias: "We have a plan?"
Markas: "I suppose you could call that good news."
Healer_Lina: "I admire your restraint, Glru. Did you discover anything about the town?"
DM_Hallu: "Our plan is to defend this Mannington Schopler person from wild elves..." says Akavi. "Which we still don't seem to have met."
Glru adds to his collection a new story about being in a bar that includes the phrase "There was small missunderstanding"
Ika_Yorri: "Not that, why the split up and the bar and the angry bouncers and people not seeing other people despite them not being invisi-able!"
Glru explains, no there is no time, Glru sums up "In town there are wildings and humans, humans do not do wilding tings, wildings do not do human things.
Healer_Lina: "Ah... well, Ika, we were a bit curious about the town and thought it would be good to get some information first."
Glru: "It is taboo... some believe Glru Greatwrench should not have great wrench.
Ika_Yorri: "You said before that humans and wildlings don't see each other at all..."
Tobias: "I think they see each other... they just don't acknowledge each other... you know?"
Glru: "ignore; not see on purpose.
Glru: "they work beside each other, but the do not work together.
Ika_Yorri: "Ah... Well, that throws all my earlier plans and assumptions out the window, then..."
Tobias looks interested. "What were your plans and assumptions?"
Ika_Yorri: "Illusion magic, mostly. If it's just classic hatred, then things get much less complicated."
DM_Hallu: aaaand it is ten o-clock so the session is over.
Glru patpats Ika on top of the head.
DM_Hallu: (that, and nobody had said anything for four minutes)
Glru was waiting for akavi to lead us to the office.
DM_Hallu: ....he was? oops.
Glru should have said so.
Ika_Yorri: ((I think people assumed I was going to go further into my plans and assumptions))
Ika_Yorri: ((I, however, was not))
DM_Hallu: well, anyway, it was a good stopping place.
Ika_Yorri: Aye
