Chapter 27: Double Dragons |

"That man is the target. Bring him down, but without the use of deadly force!" Juli ordered the soldiers standing near by. |
Ryu jumped gracefully from the ledge of the adjacent building to the hotel's ledge. His brown eyes were narrowed slightly as he surveyed his friend's assailants. |
The men standing near the unconscious forms of Eliza and Ken moved towards the center of the roof to join the remaining unit as they sized up their opponent. |
All the soldiers pulled out small metal batons from a pouch on their belts. Flipping the baton forward, it extended to a foot and a half in length. The tips of the metal rods coursed with electricity. |
A smile crept across Juli's face. "Surrender now, and save yourself the pain." She ordered. |
The Shotokan Master gave her his silent answer as he dropped into his fighting stance. Juli's smile faded away, as she looked several feet behind her. |
Rose had silently crept through the door leading from the lower parts of the hotel. During all the commotion, she had managed to get close enough to Ryu's unguarded friends. She shook Ken roughly by the shoulders trying to revive him. |
"You think you can handle the odds of eleven against two?" Juli asked with a sneer on her face as she turned to face Ryu again. |
"Oii! It's three against eleven baby!" Dan yelled shaking his fist in a mighty taunt. |
Juli silently motioned her head in Dan's direction. One of the soldiers threw his baton at taunting master. Dan let out a cry of anguish as electrical current coursed through his body. |
Dan dropped unconscious to the ground, still twitching from the attack. |
"Like I said before, it is two against eleven. You and a has been whore against my entire squad. I advise you to surrender immediately." |
Ryu made no move to surrender. His eyes were locked with Juli's in a test of will. Rose watched the two in their metal battle, while trying desperately to awake the other Shotokan Master. |
"Those odds do not seem correct to me at all!" A new voice shouted over the roar of the copter's engines. Everyone turned his or her attention to the newcomer standing in the doorway. |
"I was invited to come all the way over from Hong Kong to the promise of a chance to have a match with the greatest fighters ever. Instead I find two-bit hoods trying to put the heat on a lone warrior" Fei Long called out. |
"Will someone please shut up this braggart and guard the door!" Juli barked at her commandos. |
A man closest to Fei Long ran at him and threw his baton at the movie star with deadly accuracy. Just as the baton was to strike its mark, with lightning quick reflexes Fei kicked the baton on the handle's insulated base and sent it hurling back at his attacker. |
The solider yelped out in pain as he crumpled to the ground. Fei Long quickly ripped off his shirt and held both of his arms before him as he tensed up and shook. |
"WATAA!!" He yelled as he came out of his flex. "Now! I do believe the odds to be three against ten! I would let the Wanderer mop the floor up with your sorry asses, but seeing as how you laid out my co-star Dan. I guess I will have to risk getting him mad at me for lending a hand." |
An almost undetectable smile crept across Ryu's face as he nodded his head in gratitude towards Fei Long. He returned the gesture to Ryu, and turned to face Juli. |
"Now, shall we dance?!" He asked as he assumed his fighting stance. |
