Chapter 21: Soul Flare

Ryu immediately broke off the kiss, and backed up several steps away from her. He returned her gaze with a cold stare. "I could not quite read your chi, till you came in close contact with me. You have a very dark chi emanating from you."

"You have incredible willpower Wanderer. I would have thought you would have submitted to me by now, especially after that. I see now why I must ensnare you by any means necessary.

"I have no time for these mind games you are playing. I do not wish to fight you, but if you impede my departure, I will not hold back." Ryu replied in an icy tone.

"So be it warrior, my master will be quite pleased when I bring you before him."

The woman's figure began to shimmer, and appeared to multiple before Ryu's eyes. Slowly the figures began to circle the Shotokan Master waiting for an opening.

Ryu dropped into his fighting stance, eyeing his opponents. The first attack came swift as the figure to his right lunged out with a kick aimed at his ribs. Lowering his arms, Ryu blocked the blow easily, but was unprepared for the attack aimed at his back.

The woman behind him leapt into the air over him and came down headfirst against his should, where she began to suck on his exposed neck.

A blue flare of energy flashed out as she sprang off his shoulder and landed back amongst the other figures.

Ryu felt his chi weaken greatly from the attack. 'So, if it is my chi you are after, I will give you a dose of it.' He thought to himself.

Drawing his hands to the side of his hips, energy formed out of nothingness as a bright blue ball of energy began to grow from out of his palms.

"Ha Do Ken!" he cried as he threw his arms forward and launched the ball of energy at the figure in front of him.

The woman made no effort to dodge. However, just as the ball was about to impact upon her, with a quick motion of her hands, a yellow scarf appeared from no where. "Soul Reflect!" She cracked the scarf as if it were a whip at the ball of energy and sent it hurtling back at a startled Ryu.

Rolling out of harms way, the Wanderer regained his stance and eyed his opponent(s). This was getting no where fast, she had the advantage thus far, and he needed to even up the odds a little.

Drawing his hands to his right side again, he began to mutter..

"SHIN KUU....."

All four figures smiled, preparing for the very powerful energy ball that was about to be summoned by the warrior.
