Day One:

Well, the campsite was not all that bad.  All we really did at the campsite was sleep anyway.   I should say my wife slept.  I just lay there staring at the roof of the tent and listening to the planes taking off all night.  Finally, morning arrived.  I felt sick.  But at least I could go get food.  It is strange, I always feel sick at the beginning of a trip.  You know that feeling like you are going to vomit if you eat.  Yet, you know you have to eat.  Because if you don’t you are only going to feel worse.

We stopped at a French bakery in Wailuku and then we spent most of the day on a small beach under a shade tree.  We did do some shopping, enough to realize that the food was outrageously expensive.   That evening we went to a luau.  I still felt horrid and thus, I did not eat much.  But the show was nice.  Furthermore, I got some great pictures.
