DISCLAIMER: If you are uncapable of feeling genuinely happy for someone else (i.e. me), do not continue reading. I'm living the life of JamesBond. After the diving and the rainforests last week I went skydiving on Sunday. The freefall was without doubt the most outrageous feeling of my life. Supercool. Last Monday I went white-water rafting to Tully river (rapids of grade 3 mostly, some 4), after that I drunk two Danish guys under the table. On Tuesday it only got better: I took a four-day live-aboard dive cruise to the reefs up north. Diving was absolutely fabulous:10 dives that were all better than the very good dives last week. The list of things I saw is long but here are the highlights: - A 2m+ turtle sleeping - 150kg+ giant clams - lion fish and other scorpion fish - a cuttlefish (perhaps the most amazing creature I have ever seen) - six 2m reef sharks sleeping together - 200kg potato cods eating from hands You may get an idea of the experience by looking at the organizer's gallery http://www.taka.com.au/taka_gallery.html I was honored to have the biggest bar bill of the people on the cruise. Tomorrow I'll fly to Tasmania to take part in a 10-day rafting expedition on the Franklin river. http://www.peregrine.net.au/rafting/franklin10.html Beats working, huh?
