We Need Tenchi!
We Need Tenchi!
Ryoko runs Ryo-oh-ki into the Sousha, taking the entire complement of women into the ship. they split up and smash through the ships defenses. Along the way, Mihoshi drops her GP control cube and falls through into the ships other dimension. Ayeka and Ryoko make it to Kagato. Ayeka goes for his throat, but Kagato tosses her aside.
Feeling Tenchi's death, Sasami rushes through the forest to the Holy Masaki Tree. Reciting an incantation, she enters it and pulls Tenchi with her. Inside, the Juraian flagship, Tsunami speaks to him, telling him that he must rely on his own power, not that of the sword. She gives him some gifts and resurrects him to take down Kagato.
On the Sousha, Ryoko fights Kagato, but falls. Mihoshi runs through the ships other dimension and accidentally frees Washu, the genius who created Ryoko, Ryo-oh-ki and the Sousha. Washu revives Ryoko and sends her to kill Kagato. Realizing that Ayeka would be in danger of the power that will be thrown around. She brings her to the other dimension to cheer on Ryoko.
Unable to beat Kagato, Ryoko falls again. He begins to pull the power of her gems into the Sousha. Surprised, Kagato looks at the stump that used to be his hand. Tenchi runs to retrieve his sword as Kagato regenerates his hand. They face off as Tenchi finds he cannot beat Kagato with the sword. Remembering Tsunami's instructions, he tosses it aside and lets Kagato think him dead.
Kagato turns to finish off Ryoko, but Tenchi materializes out of the smoke. Using his power, he creates the Light Hawk Sword out of pure energy. This grabs Washu's attention. Kagato and Tenchi face off again, but Tenchi is the victor this time. Kagato sees that Tenchi contains the power of the sword copied into him by Tsunami. He then fades away, taking the Sousha with him.
Back on Earth, life resumes to "normal" as the woman fight over Tenchi and explosions rip throughout the Masaki house.
Jag T. Webmonkey in awe:
Awesome episode!! I nearly peed my pants at the fighting. It was... It was... It was AWESOME!! As promised, here's the talk on TM time. While the first three episodes covered only a week, two months passed between the third and fourth. The problem is, they still talk of everthing as if it happened yesterday. That's what confuses most viewers. They think barely any time has passed at all between episodes, and they are surprised by snow falling when summer vacation was only 4 episodes ago. At the end of this episode, several weeks pass between Sousha detonating and the final scene between Azaka and Kamidake. This ends the first OAV series. about a year later, Pioneer made a special episode to bridge this to the second series. That special episode is next.
