Jessica: Hello and welcome

Gerald: You’re watching MX2

Jessica: Moanalua Media Xtreme Xperience, a program put out by Moanalua High School’s 2nd year MeneMAC students. I’m Jessica Bartolome

Gerald: and I’m Gerald Rojo II. Just recently Moanalua High School celebrated homecoming of the alumni. Throughout the week students showed their spirit, competing in class competitions.

Jessica: The first video you are about to see, put together by our events team; Jessica Bartolome, Jaysen Cortez, Alex Messier, and Laurie Salcedo, questions whether these competitions truly promote school pride, or just rivalry between classes.

Gerald: Let’s take a look at this video, titled “Got Spirit”

(show roll-in: Events “Got Spirit” -- 1:53)

Gerald: As you can see, students at Moanalua really get into the excitement of homecoming week, although it’s up to you to decide whether it’s a controversy of school pride or class rivalry.

Jessica: Our next video puts a different light on participation in class or group activities. The conflict is that possibly, students are spending too much of their time on individual activities, so that it limits their interactivity with others.

Gerald: The entertainment crew; Bao Jun Lei, Jessica Lucas, Christian Alexander, and Prince Laforga, have created this video, titled “InterACTIVEty”

(show roll-in: Entertainment “InterACTIVEty” -- 2:18)

Jessica: So we all need to find an equal balance with time to ourselves, but also time for friends and joining in on school activities such as homecoming.

Gerald: Now although we do not have the inside scoop of the trends on the red carpet in Hollywood, Moanalua has our very own team of fashion sensible people who can aid you on setting the trend this school year.

Jessica: Instead of being the one to follow it. Some people choose to create their own trends and styles. The fashion crew (Nina Blanco, Racquel Tabil, Jayanne Obusan, Kimberly Lazo) have highlighted these people and the types of styles they and others follow. Here is their video

Jessica: With all the talk of fashions and trends, we should not overlook the fads that have interested a lot of teens out there. Many things from games, to TV shows have begun to attract the interest of today’s adolescent.

Gerald: The Feature group, Natasia Gascon, Mari Maeda, Marissa Kethenal, and Scott Jikachu have highlighted the rather unusual fads that some people have gotten into in recent times. So, here is their video titled “I can like it too”

(show roll-in: Feature “I can like it too” -- 2:22)

Gerald: Indeed, people should be able to like what they want, and support the opinions they have. After all this is America.

Jessica: One opinion that is commonly heard around the campus, is that daily batch of homework that our teachers place on us. The Editorial group (Chase Hamano, Lindsey Machado, Gerald Rojo II and Melissa Cadelina) have put together a video on the amount of homework that teachers give out.

Gerald: Is it to much? You wonder. Is it taking you away from the activities you enjoy? Is it even necessary? This video will keep you wondering.

(show roll-in: Editorial “Push to the Limit” -- 2:27)

Gerald: Many people’s passions these days are within the realm of sports. Within sports people can experience friendly competition, camaraderie, and healthy exercise.

Jessica: But recent developments within the world of sports have lead to budget and funding cuts, which in turn cut back the benefits of participating in sports. The Sports team E J Kalaaukahi , Jason Gima, Danielle Machado, Fiona Teresa Munzo and Mari Nagamine have shed light on the issue of sport budget cuts and how they are affecting all those who participate in sports.

(Sports) “Sports, Is it On Your Agenda?” - sports budget cut -- 2:28)

Gerald: Well that is our show for today.

Jessica: We all hope that you have enjoyed the shows we presented and may continue to enjoy your High school years. I am Jessica Bartolome

Gerald: And I am Gerald Rojo II, signing off from MX2.
