A short time ago (if you consider 1974 a short time ago) in a galaxy close, close...aww heck! It was this one...
Mr. Larochelle was born a baby, grew up to be a child and quite possibly someday he will blossom into a fine upstanding adult. Early on he learned that Star Wars was an awesome movie and this perception has shaped his life in many ways. Whereas some may say that everything important they learned in life, they learned in kindergarten, James says that everything important he learned in life, he learned in the Star Wars Trilogy: Before killing your parents, you should give them a chance, and a quick wit gets you a date with Carrie Fisher... (he's still waiting on the chance to try out the second)
A clever child, James managed to dupe his teachers into thinking he was deserving of decent grades. In high school, the trend continued and James met a teacher who had a profound influence on his life (Hi Mr. Gallant!) and the dream to become a high school English teacher and (hopefully) well-known author was born. The dream hit a snag when after not putting his heart into his studies, he flunked out of Concordia University. After two years of small jobs and mind-numbing boredom at home later, he was ready to return to the world of academia and make up for lost time, but the school crowd wasn't ready for him yet so they made a deal with the government...hire James and keep him away until we can emotionally prepare ourselves for his presence once more. And that's where things stand, James is presently a government employee, working for Revenue Canada (and working quite well I might add) and generally making life a pain the posterior for his mother who works in the same department. ^_^
