Title: Creator of the Cosmos, Wielder of
God-like Power, Author of the Universe, Punching Bag Joe is the embodiment of the author of the comic, wielding god like power and bending the universe to his might. Despite this, D and Sean frequently kick his ass, as a rivalry between these three characters has existed for as long as anyone can remember. During the Leap Of Absense, Joe managed to build a device he calls the Kaiser Crown. This device allows him to unlock his true god abilities and keep ahead of those that have stolen pieces of his God Armor. So despite it's stupid appearance, he wears it at all times. |
Denis/D

Title: Wielder of the Hyper Diamond Cutter, Strongest
Man in the World, Asshole Denis, better known as D, is without a doubt the most powerful resident of The Complex. Wielding a transformational sword that has never failed to pass through targets like butter, D is a powerful fighter and a force to be reckoned with. He and Sean share a curse in which things violently explode internally whenever they agree on something, but they cannot direct this explosive power on specific targets, and it tends to hit things at random. During the Leap Of Absense, D managed to get his hands on an artifact that grants him rediculous power called the Devil ARM. When activated, it gives him more power than Joe himself, and incases him in a near indistructable armor. Where he got it or where it comes from is unknown. |
Sean

Title: The Nuclear Man, The Atomic Kid, The Radioative
Guy, Nuker Sean is the main character of the strip and a force that is better off avoided. He is incredably tenacious and harder to kill than a cockroach, having been dismembered and impaled on multiple occations. He is completely immune to radiation and explosive force, making his weapon of Choice, an Atomic Cannon, even more potent as he need not worry for himself when setting it off. His only equals in battle are Joe and D, both of which would rather not fight him when he starts Nuking everything in sight. He and D share a curse in which things violently explode internally whenever they agree on something. How or why they have this curse is unknown, but the fact that the two are roommates and both have a love of Pie makes it rather dangerous to be anywhere near them. During the Leap Of Absense, Sean managed to steal Joe's God Gauntlets, giving him power equal to an Author's. While he could easily bend the universe to his whim or alter the fabric of time with this, he usually uses it to increase the Power of his Atomic Cannon, making it far more potent. |
JC

Title: The Karate Kid, D's Younger Brother, Gigas JC is the younger brother of D, but luckally doesn't share his siblings awesome power or a weapon that can even compare. Little is known about JC's fighting capabilities or what he is capable of, all that is known is that he appearantly has an alter ego named Gigas, and even D avoids him when he is in this mode. JC has done little during the Leap Of Absense, though Gigas has surfaced from time to time during it. |
Matt/Krill

Title: Krill, Brother of Mark, The Midget Man Matt is Joe's Roommate in The Complex, and frequently gets involved in some form of universal alteration or biblical plague because of his frequent contact with The Almighty himself. Matt takes this in stride, however, and is more in fear of being Next Door Neighbors to D and Sean than being struck by lightning or attacked by locusts. Matt hardly gets involved in the frequent wars that take place in The Complex, but most assume he could hold his own due to the fact he has survived living with Joe for so long, and has stolen a sizable ammount of Joe's technology and weapons. Amongst these were the God Hauberk, a piece of the God Armor that makes Matt able to take as much damage as an Author. Because of this, he is almost as hard to kill as Joe and Sean, but he is still as much of a passifist as ever. |
Mark

Title: Disembodied Ghost-Writer Knock off, 32-bit loser,
Chair Mark isn't very liked by mostly everyone else, and is usually ignored. He shares a room with JC and Dave but usually keeps to himself, as he is frequently the target of taunts or pranks. Due to his new sprite body bestowed upon him by Joe after his old one was vaporized, Mark has become short of a laughing stock and treated as Matt's chair. Though most know better than to piss him off, as he is constructed of a Xenomorphic Liquid metal like material that allows him to change his body construct at will, usually taking the form of a giant Goo Monster. |

Title: Kinetically Energized Neroid, Robotic Death Machine Ken is a Neroid built by Joe as a Security Messure against anyone who would attempt to steal his things. Unfortunately the attempt was a complete failure, as not only does Ken do nothing to stop others from raiding Joe's goods, sometimes the Neroid raids them himself, which is how it came to bear the God Helm, a device that gives the Neroid the ability to create unlikely Plot Devices in the nick of time to save it's ass. During the Leap Of Absense, Ken has managed to upgrade himself four times over, making him faster and more powerful each time. |
Dave

Title: Angel of Death, Bringer of Damnation, Horseman
of the Apocolypse Dave is Death himself, complete with cloak and scythe and deadly strength. A former Maverick Burger Employee, Dave discovered his calling to be the Angel of Death when he flipped out and burried a six foot laser bladed scythe down into a customer's throat, then promptly eviscerated him by ripping it out his torso. After graduating from Undead Monster University with a major in Soul Translocation and Scythery 101, Dave took his degree and immidiately applied to the position of Death and quickly took his place as both the Reaper of Souls and one of the Horsemen of the Apocolypse. Unfortunately, a slight misshap with the soul of The Almighty caused Dave's job to be put in jeopardy, and thus he has returned to the mortal realm in a living body and must prove himself to his superiors by reaping Joe's Soul and bringing it to the nether realm. So far he has had little success. During the Leap Of Absense, Dave managed to get his hands on Joe's God Boots, giving him the speed neccessary to keep up with the author in a head to head battle. Unfortunately he is still having trouble with the killing and reaping part. |
Evil Denis

Title: Evil Incarnate, The Anti Christ, Destroyer of
the Universe, Previous Wielder of the Hyper Diamond Cutter Evil Denis is a version of D from a parallel universe that seems to be far more powerful than any being in The Complex. He wields a super version of Derrane's treasured sword which is completely immune to Joe's strongest attacks and has cut through Derrane's Diamond Cutter like it was made of Silly String. To say D was annoyed by this fact would be an understatement. He and Evil Sean share a curse in which things explode violently when they agree on something. Unlike their counterparts, however, Evil D and Evil Sean can control where the explosion hits, making them deadly when they team up. During the Leap Of Absense, Evil D had the unfortunate luck to destory D's sword, causing D to activate the Devil ARM and subsiquently murder his alternate without mercy. |

Title: Radiation Dude, Atomic Swordsman Evil Sean is a version of Sean from a parallel universe, but seems to be very simular to the incarnation of Sean in The Complex. Just like his counterpart, Evil Sean is nigh impossible to kill, and has an unhealthy obsession with Atomic Detinations and reducing things to Radioactive vapor. He is also capable of complete regeneration, and can swap bodies with any suitable vessial whenever such a move may be neccesary. During the Leap Of Absense, Sean died more times than anyone would like to count and switched bodies even more. Eventually he found his way into the body of a woman where Joe uses his powers to seal him for good. Now Evil Sean has to spend the rest of his life in the body of a woman, and unfortunately her regenerative capabilities carried over, making it all too hard to rid herself of corperal form. |
