October '2000: The Beginner's Version
Allow me to explain before someone smites me for plagiarism ^^;; I love the layouts on the entrance page of The Shrine to the Almighty Chicken of DOOM! a lot. A WHOLE lot, and I simply couldn't stop myself from getting the urge to create some of my own layouts for my site ^_^ Thus this October's version. However, I do realise that the idea originally came from Kristi and Priya's hard work, which is why I made sure to list out in bold that this idea was inspired by their own layouts. After all, the main idea did come from them, so of course I'll credit them for it ^_~

Obviously, these are nothing compared to their much, much more professional-looking ones, thus the title *sweatdrop* I'm a blatant beginner in this whole website-making deal, so I guess the title just fits, ne? I will try to -- somehow -- find the time each month (or two months; or... several months ^^;;) to create a different layout for the entrance page, which will then at the very least give it a fresh new look for any visitors that might accidentally fall in. Wish me luck!

The kawaii SD Tomo on the main page was taken from Tomo no Miko's Fushigi Yuugi Page *_* Arigatou! He's just so cute in SD form... *cooes genkily*

December '2000: Christmas Blues... version
Finally, a new image map! *throws confetti* The layout is pretty simple, but most of my time had been focused on CG-colouring the Tomo pic without messing up TOO much (honestly, it bloody well looks simple...) Now I'm hoping that I got the make up correct *gulps and crosses fingers* Like the blue? I do ^.^ No, this wasn't created with the intention of making fun of Nakago's Blue Eyes Blue song *waves away the snickering* I've never even heard the song, so how could I make fun of something I don't know twiddly dum about? This was originally intended to be a black-and-white version, with a fully-coloured Nakago pic in the foreground and a monochrome Tomo in the back (I found the manga piccy from Tomo no Miko's Tomo gallery -- very creepy-like, with a smoky atmosphere and an almost see-through Tomo in the foreground holding Shin) ...only now, the places are reversed *sweatdrop* Whodathunk?

The blue came from a song on TV, which had a line or something with the word 'blue' in it (gee, that would narrow it down to... about a hundred other songs! *snerk*) Then I realised that Nakago's preferred colour is blue and that the Seiryuu are blue and I've always really liked the colour blue anyway so... *cough* It was one of those do-it-on-impulse-and-see-if-the-result's-good thingies *sweatdrop* I was hoping to create snowflakes in the background, but then that'll clash with everything else... and if you can't read the faint words in the back (and truthfully, who can?!) it reads:

masquerade
every face a different shade
masquerade
look around
there's another
mask behind you

I feel it's really fitting because Tomo isn't the only person to wear a mask within the Seiryuu... just about everyone else does too. But I decided to just use Nakago instead, since he's probably the most influencial person in Tomo's life -- besides, it'd look crowded if everyone were in it ^.^

Many thanks goes out to Tomo no Miko for scanning the pic, and then to Seimei of the Nakago Fan Club for letting me use the Nakago piccy! ^___^

Fushigi Yuugi (and Tomo) belong to Watase Yuu, Studio Pierrot and a bunch of other people I've no idea about. But it's definitely not mine. Tears of Amber (c) Lynn Utsukushii (aka Ryo Chuin no Miko) 2000.
