Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997)
Like every succesful game, Crash Bandicoot, after having millions of sales, got a sequel.  Once again, everyone was happy, including myself.  Another reason to buy a PS.  Crash 2 starts off when Crash 1 ended.  Cortex is falling off his hot air balloon and lands in a cave, where he finds a crystal.  2 years later, Cortex has gotten an old friend, Dr. N. Gin, to become his right hand man, because he betrayed Brio and Brio left him.  Cortex captures Crash and brings his a a Warp Room and tells Crash that if he doesn't retrieve all 25 crystal from the portals around the Warp Rooms, the Earth will be destroyed.  The point in this game is to collect all 25 long, pink crystals and all 42 gems, which are 37 clear gems, and 5 colored gems.  In this game, Tawna has left you for Pinstripe, and you have met Coco, Crash's brilliant sister, who helps Crash find out what Cortex is up to.  The game features brand new beautiful color-filled levels.  Finding the colored gems requires strategy.  In this game, you can run, slide, jump, crouch, ride a jet board, ride a polar bear (Polar), be chased by boulders and giant polar bears, and much more.  There are five Warp Rooms, each having 5 levels.  There is also a secret Warp Room, which can only be accessed by finding secret teleporting areas in regular levels.  Every time you complete a Warp Room, you step on a platform and go up, where you will be confronted by a boss, which Brio sends after you thinking that you work on the double-crossing Cortex.  Bosses include the retun of Ripper Roo to N. Gin, and Komodo Dragon brothers to the ferocious Tiny Tiger.  Crash 2 offers hours of gameplay, a great storyline, great graphics, and when you beat the game (which is easy, I might add), you want to start the game over.  Crash 2 is a great addition to you game collection, make sure to buy it.
