| As I walked into the night, gazing down through dark fields, my eyes beheld an eerie sight which set my mind to reel. For the stars were bright on this windless night and distant trees lined the sky. But there was light, where none should be shining amid the trees. I stared and thought: a fire could it be? And as the trees did seem aflame, a careless woodsman perhaps I thought....who surely is to blame. But worried I should not have been, for soon it became clear when the moon in all its brightness soon started to appear. And as its spherical shape did form, its beauty again I admired, for it was just its red hot burning glow that set those woods afire..... Author: Flo Rule |
