01.04.02 pie heaven Oh, before I get too ahead of myself, I'll discuss pie heaven with you. Now, the theory behind pie heaven is quite elaborate, and I must confess, that I don't even fully understand it, myself. So, is pie heaven where pies go when they die or is it just human heaven wih a lot of pies? ...good question - if it's just human heaven with an enormous amount pies, aces I say, everyone loves pie! But if it's a heaven where pies go when they die, the theological/ontological debate gets a little more muddy. Here we are as humans, not only the eaters of pies, but also their creators. In a way, like God type figures, we give and take away pie life. Both their creators and destroyers. In this way, we would be the rulers of pie heaven, the givers and takers of pie life. But once we get to pie heaven could we eat the pies? Wouldn't that be like God killing us after we get to Heaven? That doesn't seem very fair if you ask me. That is,unless we were vengeful Gods, although some would say that the traditionl vision of God does not allow for an evil God, and that an evil God would, in fact, be no God at all ...but that's getting off track from the pies. Perhaps this form of "pie heaven" would be less than ideal - who wants to go through eternity without pie? Even if we went to this form of "pie heaven" accidentally somehow and another omnipotent being was the ruler, I can't see her/him/it taking it very kindly that an intrusive individual is eating all their angelic pies. I'll give this some more thought, but right now, I'm thinking pie heaven would be great if it was just human heaven with lots of pie, but if it was a place where pies go to die, stay away I say. |
