I Hate downloadable pagebuilders and I am angry. You clicked on my link, so you pay. Anyway, on the pagebuilder of doom... I had an idea. A fan website... And I was to call it Rydiagarden... It was a splendid bloody idea, I thought. Well, short story long, My computer had me convinced that everything was going well, and this pagebuilder had so much to offer. But then I noticed something. Tiny glitches were occuring in the computer... Slowly...
I decided to clear some space by transferring everytging I did on there to here. But then it decided that it wanted to shove a pregnant spider into my ear instead. It thought "I know"! And then it decided that If I did this it's way that this website could only be reached from this computer unless people downloaded my pre-built pages (rather than transferring the information to Yahoo), and that it would take up so much space that I had to delete it because we were out of space unless I didn't. But uninstalling this program meant deleting all my Wave files... That won't fit on a floppy disk. And I only have one blank C.D. left that I was saving for a Legend of Zelda C.D. ... Sigh, not that it would have all fit on there anyway.
The music-get was a combined process of Searching, downloading, (Redownloading i some cases), more searching, copying, pasting, sorting, encoding, deleting, uplaoding and linking.
But now this website is someone else's problem to store. And I get to rebuild about eight pages, and start the rest from scratch. And I also get to re-download a few songs I beridded myself from for extra space... For nothing. Re-soringt-copying-pasteing-encoding-uploading-linking onto this website, which is deffinately not going to fit all of my goods, is not going to be fun, so I'll have to get more accounts- (Which was part of the trouble leading me to get the god damn, infernal pagebuilder-consumer in the first place.) I need a gardian angel, or Zidane, or a nurse.
It was later that I decided breaking tyhe law was going to mae things worse, so I have a new plan which I currently use. (See the main music page.)
All in all, I rate this amount of work I have done for the music section, the most time I ever wasted for people I've never met. Easily over 24 hours of work, I'm estimating I wasted 27 hours+. That is for this part (Including the rebuilding of pages) but I will now add two hours for all the time I have spent on trying to make my fanart section. For every artist I tried to contact through email was unreachable and I got a postmaster notification saying It couldn't deliver... The only artists I could get were not enough so far, because I reached one by comenting in Elfwood, (I love Elfwood even more now.) and the other by chance. But that is why I am open to you submitting fan art of Rydia. At one point, I discovered an out of the way meathod of uploading Mp3s onto this site within Yahoo!'s random maze of links that all lead to the same page. But it was then discovered that only 6 Mp3s could be stored on 1 Yahoo! acount, so I had to get seperate ones. Then I realized that to really be able to manage this website, (On account the fact I don't have a job) I'd have to get more storage supporting webspace for free. So the searching for that began.
Oh, it was a fearce battle... But everything's sorted now! ^_^ |
