Kagero was born into a family of mages. Her parents were teachers at the Zauberran Academy. Since she was young, she had been trained and prepared for the life of a mage. For most of her life, Kagero was content with this. Then in her final year as a student something changed.
During Kagero's time as a student she excelled at everything she did. She was mastering the schools of necromancy and demonmancy. Her knowledge of the dark magics wa second only to her teachers', but even to them she was not far behind. It was widely believed that once she passed her trials to become a full mage, she would follow her parents and teach at the academy. However, a much darker fate was in store for her.

    It was during this final year of her schooling that Kagero made a trip to northern Zauberra. While she was there she met a loose band of people dedicated to the god of darkness, Kuladar. It is not exactly known what occurred during this encounter, but its effects are well known. Kagero became completely infatuated with the god.
     As the year progressed Kagero became more involved with the group. She organized them and thus made them stronger. Gathering followers daily, she even recruited the Zauberran Guildmaster's son, a paladin of dawn. His name was Kale and he soon became her lover. He followed Kagero as devoutly as she followed Kuladar. Then finally in the year 900 AD Kagero's forces began seizing control of northern Zauberra.
     Once she succeeded in taking control of more than half of the land, her sights turned to the capital city of Trendon, particularly on its guild and academy. Her attempts at the city failed. Kagero and her forces retreated to their occupied territory in the northern lands of Zauberra. As time went on, the losses on both sides grew. Kagero would soon meet her end.
     The final attack by the guilds army had nearly destroyed Kagero. Her forces as well as the guild army were completely decimated by this desperation move. Kagero had managed to save herself and Kale, however both were weakened greatly and near death. The guildmaster killed Kagero, and not being able to kill his own son, he transported Kale to the other side of Kryastal. Kagero's spirit and body were sealed in the remains of her fortress. There she waits until her freedom comes, for her to once again to try and bring about Kuladar's return.
