40 Forbidden Questions

Here they are!

All the things you've wanted to ask Bobby but didn't dare --with his straight-from-the-shoulder response!

What is your reaction to the rumors that you are secretly engaged?
I am not engaged and these rumors make me feel very bad. I get many letters asking me about it, and I try to personally answer as many of them as I can. I don't blame those who like me for being upset over these terrible untruths. I would never be secretly anything, especially engaged. When I decide that I've found the right girl, and the time has come, I will proudly shout about my engagement. Meanwhile, please just ignore the idle gossip.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
A few years ago I was on my first Dick Clark State Fair show. I was kidding around with Frankie Avalon behind the curtain, before I went on. I heard Dick giving me a big buildup, and then I parted the curtains to step onto the stage and sing my number. I got the curtains apart, but couldn't move! Frankie was holding onto my jacket for dear life. After a few seconds (it seemed like a year), he let go and I popped to the center of the stage. I still laugh today when I remember it.

Right now, I like living in the East, though someday I may buy a house in Los Angeles and move my folks and myself out there.
