He was shown, as a yearling, and placed 3rd out of 7 in both rings. He was a very flashy colored buck, black with small white spots throughout and silver ears. His daughter, Newbe, took one senior grand and two senior reserve grands in the only three rings she was in as a 2 year old 1st freshener that summer! His daughters are doing very well on milk test too! There's a link on our main page to look at the milk test results. He has quite a few daughters that have junior grands. He improvedt on his daughters in the quantity of milk, plus length of body and height. He also improved the length of ears. We took him to the Mega Buck show two years. We showed him there in 2002 and he won 2nd, 3rd and 3rd in a class of 7. In 2003 unfortunately there were only two in his class, he took 1st all 3 times times. With the milk testing we did Kleid earned his +B in 2003. Unfortunately we had to put Kleid to sleep on 9/26/04 after a serious leg injury. Kleid and Klinger helped us build our herd. Kleid will be greatly missed, he was the sweet tempered spotted buck Yvonne searched so long for! We have decided to keep Kleid's son Flash, since God blessed us by Flash not selling before Kleid's passing. We will not be able to use Flash much until the next generation, but he's worth the wait, he's an awesome buck! |
