Harold Jones: Just The Facts

STORY: "Harold's (AKA Ryan Scott) in from Chicago to assist a co-worker named Ivan. Initially Greta came into the store to set Ivan up with Jack. Ivan balked at the idea and then I took one look at his photo and I was like, yeah. I immediately fell in love with Jack at first sight. Greta picked up on this and now we're both on a mission. We're co-conspiring in a positive way. We want Jack to be comfortable with who he is and what he wants. Unfortunately for Harold, Jack's really straight. So romance is highly unlikely."
ACTING GAY: "My girlfriend and I talked about the role but it's not like it's a big deal. She's been very supportive. Besides, I played another gay character in the play Beyond Therapy so this wasn't such a new challenge. The funniest part about getting this role was telling my parents. I'm from Lincoln, Nebraska and they were thrilled that I had landed a part on Days of our Lives but after I told them about the part, my mom was like "oh boy." I think she was afraid of what the neighbors were going to think because everyone she knows watches the show. I'm sure eighty-five to ninety percent of them will automatically, by association, think that I'm gay. You never know. However, my dad is just happy that I have a paying job."
LIVE FOR TODAY: "Who knows what'll happen between Jack, Greta and Harold. Regardless, this role has been a great experience and I will continue with it as long as it's appropriate for the show."
