| Alexander the great had to overcome many tragedies in his life. When Alexander was a child his parents were constantly fighting. His father was also gone on campaigns a lot so Alexander was left to be raised by his mother. When he was a young man, his father was assassinated.
Alexander had to take over the entire country by himself. The country was in very bad shape and he had to deal with disputes, revolts, and neighboring rivals. When he was grown up, he had killed many of his friends while he was drunk including his life long friend, which caused him to go into seclusion for 3 days. He tried to kill himself, but his bodyguards restrained him. |
