Hammer:

William D. Williams:

Timeline
8-14-77	DOB born to Samantha Elizabeth Elias and Dale William Williams in Poughipsie NY at ______ Hospital.
12-24-79	Billy moves with Sam and Dale to an apartment nearer work in NY.
80-89 Billy had a pretty normal childhood, living with both parents, in an apartment above Duffy's Gym in Hoboken NJ. Picked on alot at school, he was tall and lanky.
3-17-89	Johnny Duffy downstairs from the Williams' apartment takes Billy in and shows him the 'ropes' (pun intended?) He starts to show billy that he does'nt have to be a 128 lbs weakling forever, [Hammer gets a trainer background ** - ****]
3-17-89 thru 8-13-93	Billy goes to the gym everyday to train and fight, meeting a few new friends, become a really good contender. Billy wins 2 small welterweight fights at
5-19-89	Billy meets Andrew Logatta, who just moved into a close apartment with his parents. Andrew is small like Billy and gets picked on alot, billy gets Andrew to box with him. they fight together for a long time.
8-13-93	Billy breaks Andrew's nose and gives up boxing for good.
9-2-93 Billy gets a job at Industrial Mufflers (a die press factory) where he meets Wendy Walters and they start dating. His dad worked there and got him the job cleaning parts.
11-27-93	Wendy tells Billy she is pregnant.
11-29-93	he dropped out of HS to get a job, he was a sophomore. (16 yrs)
4-94 Wendy gets maternity leave from the Muffler place and starts at McDonalds so they can get a nice trailer instead of living with Betty and Dale
9-23-94	had son Ethan James Williams with Wendy (Walters) Williams
10-16-94	Bill gets fired from his job at Industrial Muffler for getting in a fight with the boss (he hit him light and broke his nose) ABOUT WHAT? I don't know.
11-2-94	Bill gets a job at ( ? ? ) and he and wendy start getting along alot better.
95 a really good year for billy he gets a trailer and he wendy and Ethan are doing great, until:
2-3-95 Bill gets a better job at Ace Construction carring heavy loads all day.
11-27-95	Bill hits his boss at the burger place for hitting on Wendy and breaks his nose. FIRED!!!!
12-5-95	Sheriff Clinton, who knows Billy's dad, brings a envelope full of money to Billy's house and tells him to get Steven Horner, a crooked politician running for a small NY office, to stop his campaign. Roughness won't count against you either, he tells Billy. Clinton and Bill opens the envelope to find 5,000 and a picture of Mr. Horner. Bill does'nt tell Wendy keeping it a secret until he goes to do it on the 19th
12-10-95	Bill goes to the gym he trained at for advice and sees Andrew, he never goes in to see Johnny Duffy like he was going to, (later he finds out that Logatta beat up Johnny and now Bison owns the gym). He goes to his father for advice, no, turned away again. What to do, i guess i can beat this guy up for money, I did it before just a little different.
12-19-95	Bill goes to the home of Steven Horner, finds Steve in the back yard. Hammer comes in and tells Steve to get out the political buisness or he's gonna be hurt. Breaking his nose and a few ribs to prove it. Billy leaves and goes home. Forgeting something he goes back and finds Steve in the bathroom bleeding to death from a wound on his stomach, he loads him up in the Pick up and drive to the closest hospital. Deputy sheriffs show up after Billy sits in the hospital filling out forms and they say that Sheriff Clinton is on his way, Billy is forced to stay, "But I just found him there, it wasn't me!" Sheriff Clinton shows up and tells the deputies to put him in the wagon, he's going in.
Sheriff Clinton cuffs Billy to the handhold in the front of his blazer, driving out in the hills a little. Driving off the road and stopping the blazer, he asks billy what he did and a arguement starts, Billy figures that Clinton killed Steve, and now wants to kill billy to take the fall (like he did it and tried to resist arrest, and escape). he NARROWLY escaped being shot 2 times and busted the sheriffs hand in the process (in the blazers door as he stuck the gun out). Runs his ass off!
12-20-95	Ah, lets get outta here he sez, takes Ethan and tells Wendy to pack up her stuff. he goes to his dads, and is told to get out, chased by two black cars (that turn out to be mafia thugs). looses them and goes back home, Wendy's DEAD!!!! What have i done!!!! Shitty!!!!!!
12-21-95	Drives and drives, not sleeping, finally ends up at dads where he is dead also, What have i done!!!! Shitty!!!!!! What the hell is happening, why to me? Now he sees Clinton on TV saying that he is being looked for in connection with the murder of Steve Horner, again he sees black cars outside and runs off with Ethan to the Gym, told that Duffy is upstairs in his apartment, he goes up stairs and tells Duffy to get a move on they gotta go! Duffy gets his stuff ready and Hammer sees two guys thugging around, beating up both of them, he and Duffy escape narroly again.
1-2-96 Hammer gets across the border into Cannanada (its not rape if it's dead) and begins working at a horse farm near Montreal
1-9-96 Hammer gets back into boxing at a small gym in Montreal, being trained by Duffy again.
3-96 Jimmy Tops sees Hammer boxing and offers him a contract, they sign and Hammer is now managed by one of the biggest and best. (he thinks)
5-96 Hammer goes back to NY for a bout Jimmy set up, and to check out Duffy's Gym. Mike Bison is training none other than Andrew Logatta, he leaves before Andrew can see him. He runs off and goes to the tourney that Jimmy set him up in, luckily Logatta isn't there. He wins the welterweight match and runs off before authori-TAY catches up with him.

Drives a '57 International truck, an gift from his father.
His father had a choice between it and a '57 chevy, he chose this, will likes to tel a story of how is father had the choice between the two and what he inherited. (ie the truck) its Blue, he repainted it from red.

Billy wears construction company hats and shirts alot, MACK, CAT, Komatsu, John deere, Zeiger, Case, Mustang, Kobelco, Denco, International, Vermeer, etc etc

Quote: "Just cuz I'm slow don't mean I'm dumb" "I'm deadly with my fists, (as he cracks his knuckles) little man (or woman)" "I'm gonna kick the guts outta you!"
after fight quote "you got knocked the FUCK out"

The best Hammer quote: "There's only one difference between you and me, and I'm gonna beat your ass!"

Signature: Light flurry, then a HARD punch to the ground.

Theme Music:?

Hammer's Associates:
Jimmy Tops: Hammer's Manager (picture a Steve Buscemi type)
Jimmy used to be a bookie for the Metro City Mob (Mad Gear), until he had a falling out with the big man (read as "he stole a bunch of money from the mob and split town"). He mad ehis way to NY and set himself up as a small time boxing promoter, regardless of the fact that hwe knew NOTHING about boxing. When Hammer came along [impressing Jimmy at Duffy's Gym] Jimmy was clever enough to recognize his talent, and overnight transformed himself into a super-manager. Just wait til he hears about the fight circuit.
	Quote: "Hey sounds lucrative..."
Hammer View: Jimmy is one of the best managers that i've seen and i can't get anyone better, who wants to work with a murderer? He has done me pretty well and I plan to keep up the good work for him.

Johnny Duffy: Hammer's trainer, and mentor
Johnny Duffy, ... boxing trainer and ring doctor for many years ... lost his gym to mike bison, and shadoloo. He pissed Bison off and nearly was killed by Logatta
	Quote: " ? .... ? "
Hammer View: He is a god send, he taught me everything I know, I could'nt stand to loose him. When I get the money i'll make him the best gym, so other boxers can learn from the best too!

Alexander Logatta: Hammer's Nemesis
Mike' Bison's {new}star pupil, he is reknowned for his ultra-confident (mmany say overconfident) demeanor, and his propensity to sucker punch whenever he gets the chance. He is cool and conceited as well, he never lets his opponents see him angry. He is a big time show off and gloater inside and outside the ring, although he still tends to hit dizzed opponents. He never stands still, he is always bobbing and weaving, moving back and forth, in and out. (see also his entry in the Contenders section)
Hammer View: Logatta is my best friend and I hurt him so bad, I don't think I want to box him again, I can't even stand to see him, and definately don't want him to see me.

CONTENDERS:
This is a list of the top boxers of Hammer's generation. This is by no means a complete list of all the fighters who Hammer has met or fought. It is, rather, a list of the top young heavyweight boxers in the US, the up and coming fighters who seem to be bound for success. These are the fighters who all the promoters, announcers, and fans seem to think are going to be the main contenders for the championship. They're all young and have very good records in the ring.
Quotes from Hammer taken from an interview with Leslie Dunn for Sporting Monthly May 1998.

TOMMY HOOKS
Rising star from the Windy City. Tommy is a talented heavyweight with good technique, but most fans and announcers are less awed by his skills than they are by his resilience. He's good, he has to be to have come so far, but when it boils right down to it the main reason he wins is because he is hard to put down. He can take a greater beating than any other fighter who steps into the ring today, and still keep on fighting. In and outside of the ring he's a good natured fellow, he lives clean, and he fights clean, he's polite, and he doesn't talk trash about his opponents. He does a lot of volunteer work for orphanages- an orphan himself, he feels for the others. He's a powerfully built blonde with a youthful face and demeanor, and an easy smile.
Tommy Hooks and I got along very well when we met at Duffy's in '96. I trust him more than anyone else around. I know he's an upright guy, don't get me wrong, I never turn my back on anyone anymore, I just don't have to keep BOTH eyes on Tommy (they got along well enough that Billy told Tommy that he was leaving the states to run from the law. They never fought, and if Hammer has it his way they won't, just to stay close pals)

JOSEPH BENTLEY, "THE GENTLEMAN"
Joseph is perhaps the wealthiest boxer in the world, and he didn't gain his money through hard work. He was born with it. He hails from Boston, where he was born into a wealthy family with "old money." He took up boxing in boarding school, and discovered that he loved the thrill of the fight, the competition. He is a dapper gentleman with an aristocrat's moustache, and dresses very well in designer suits outside the ring. He also wears designer silk trunks inside the ring. He doesn't really say much of anything about his opponents. In fact, he acts as if they were all of little to no consequence. But it's obvious which fighters he considers to be a challenge, because he is always looking to set up matches against them. He may be a bit of a snob, but he is no coward.
The Gentile-man is a wuss, ain't worked for nothing in his life and now thinks he can fight a kid from the streets like me. I beat him the bout we fought and good, and I'll show him a thing or two again!

FLASH TAYLOR
Lives up to his name. Fighting out of LA, Flash is always looking for a photo op, and ready with a big smile and a thumbs up. He projects a sort of "so confident I don't have to even act tough" demeanor to his fans and opponents, especially for the cameras. He's got a great press agent, and to a certain extent he's helped revitalize the popularity of Boxing in the US as well, especially since the SF circuit was banned. He's appeared in numerous commercials and makes endless TV appearances, and has proved himself to be an eloquent guest on the late night talk show circuit. He's a handsome young black man with a shaven head and a small goatee, who smiles frequently and naturally.
Flash is a showoff, but that man is a good, good fighter. We beat each other, he won in Atlantic City and beat him in NYC. I'll put him down the next time I see him though, wipe that grin off his face. I guess I am just a bit jealous, I mean he is on tv and i'm running with my kid across the border again.

BISCHOFF FAUST
A newly rising star in the US ring, Bischoff emigrated to Las Vegas from German a year and a half ago, and has quickly made a name for himself. He is an implacable and exacting foe in the ring, reknowned for his precision. Outside the ring he has earned a reputation as somewhat dangerous and wild, famous for his heavy drinking, gambling, and reputed other activities... most people say they have no doubts as to why he choose Vegas as his newly adopted hometown.
Never fought Bischop, but I heard he's good. I guess he's a good gambler and drinker too. I just hope he doesn't get involved with anyone dirty {Hammer thinks: Bison or his crew} in Las Vegas.

"DANGEROUS" JAKE DAVIS- Jake is a unique case, as he has simultaneously made a name for himself in both the Boxing and Kickboxing circuits. He's a no-nonsense fighter, not very talkative, an intense man who trains heavily. His endurance is legendary- he's seemingly tireless, still landing heavy blows and moving around when his opponents have already slowed down from fatigue. His nickname was given him by an announcer and picked up by the fans, although it seems to him to be a creation of the press which he could live without. He likes to keep a low profile in his private life, and doesn't like it when the press meddles in his day to day life.
Dangerous Jake, sounds like a bad man to me, But he fights a whole different style. I mean you come on to me with your feet and I'll knock you on your ass. Kick this! That's all I have to say about him.

JESSE ERHARDT
Jesse is a country boy from Kansas, and a nice fellow. He has a very solid record, but he's recently been shut out of a lot of boxing events because of a fateful decision he made a little while ago. He was a quickly rising star due to his skill, good looks, and charm, until the day he entered a WMAC tournament (before it was made illegal). The boxing world watched with anticipation as one of their own went in to prove the superiority of the "sweet science" in full contact, no-holds barred competition. And as all of his fans looked on, he lost embarrassingly to grapplers. Although his official boxing record remains impeccable, the memory of his hard losses in the WMAC has seriously damaged his popularity and validity in boxing circles.
Jesse Erhart, he's a good ol boy i suppose, I just think that he got the short end of the stick. Getting grabbed like that, I'd have just knocked that boy out.

THE CORTEZ BROTHERS- Mexican-American twins from San Fransisco, the Cortez brothers fight with unbelievable intensity when they come up against each other. Both are incredible fighters in their own rights, with very different styles, and neither has been able to score a solid victory over the other. Their rivalry is the greatest rivalry in the boxing world today.
Those two brothers, yeah I heard of 'em, I even fought the older one in a fight, beat him, in a very tough, tough match. I like his gym, i trained there for a few days when I was in _____ with Wendy for the fight. Oh, his brother Enrique has a nice style in the ring, I like the way he fights. He definately brings something to the ring, a sort of animal thing, I don't know.	I would like to go back to Miguel's Gym, train some with him, let Duffy show him some things. And get that fire from his brother too.

	MIGUEL CORTEZ
Miguel is the (slightly) older of the twins, and the more scientific. He's a careful fighter who relies on technique to win the day, training his skills and placing great emphasis on strategy in the ring. He often talks about the importance of technique in boxing, mentioning it in every interview, and emphasizing that without technique a boxer is nothing more than a petty little brawler. He owns and runs a gym in San Fransisco whree he has been known to give good advice to young fighters hoping to break into the Pro circuit. He's a smooth faced mexican man who furrows his brow in concentration during his fights.

	ENRIQUE CORTEZ
While Miguel focuses on technique, his younger brouther Enrique fights with an explosive energy. He's a bomb in the ring, prone to sudden, unpredictable bursts of energy, and has been known to taunt as well, especially when fighting his brother. He relies more on instinct than on technique, and has been known to talk about how too much technique leads to stagnation. Man was given a fighting instinct, and if he listens to it, it'll conquer dry technique. He's suave and cool outside of the ring, and polite to the very same boxers who he insults and taunts inside the ring. His insults and taunts are nothing personal, it's just how he operates.
