Known also as Corno-Breton wrestling, it has been practiced in Cornwall, England, for over 15 centuries. Contestants try to throw each other from a standing position. If a hand or knee should touch the ground, the hold is broken and players must start again. All holds must be above the waist; choke holds are not allowed. Each bout lasts ten minutes, with a ten-minute extension if no winner is declared. Should there still be no clear victor at the end of the second ten-minute period, the three referees decide a winner. Cornish wrestling tournaments are conducted annually
This British wrestling art has been practiced for over fifteen centuries, yet it is just coming to light in the streetfighting circuit. It is deceptively simple in appearance, but it is quickly joining the ranks of feared wrestling styles, as it's practitioners begin to prove their ability. It is quite versatile, and it's unfamiliar maneuvers have contributed to its ability to trap even the wary.
