| Notes | The ZSU 23 4 Shilka was designed to replace the
older ZSU 57 2 Sparka system. The main drawback with the ZSU 57 2 was that
it lacked any fire control systems. This made it ineffective in poor weather
conditions. One thing in it's favor is that the guns are of a larger
caliber. The ZSU 23 4 was designed with a fire control radar to make it more effective in poor weather. Even though the ZSU 23 4 only has 23 mm guns it makes up with this by being more accurate and having four guns. |
