| In the second grade, not wanting to be the only female "Ryan" in my class (there were 4 Ryan's that year) I decided to combine my first name "Ryan" and my middle name "Anne" to come up with the spelling "Ryanne". While more feminine, this brought on a whole new set of pronounciation challenges. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| In recent years I have been wanting to go back to the spelling "Ryan". However, it is a hard to change the spelling of your name when you have been using the same spelling for 18-20 years. Therefore, I thought that the transition into the Peace Corps would give me a good opportunity in a new phase of my life to go back to Ryan. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
