But when Theresa gets proposed to by Eddie, she panicks and suddenly moves to Newport in search of Ryan, incase he still loves her. As Ryan and Marissa are on a break, Ryan spends the night with Theresa, but then Theresa decideds she doesnt want to ruin his life, and moves back to Chino without telling him.
Ryan & Marissa patch up their relationship and go steady. But then out of the blue Theresa arrives back in Newport with a black eye. It seems Eddies been hitting her, when Ryan finds this out he persaudes her not to return to her fiance and asks the Cohens if she can stay in the pool house for a while. But then Theresa realises shes pregnant and suspects its Ryan she faces him with a hard decision. Move back to Chino to bring up his child or stay in Newport without her or the baby.

But when Ryan leaves Theresa for a few days to find Seth who has sailed to Lukes to escape his new life of insecurity without Ryan.Theresa realises hes not happy and wouldnt be with her if there wasnt a baby. Theresa's mum persaudes her to let go of Ryann, and so Theresa phones Ryan and tells him shes lost their baby, and that she doesnt want him to come home. Ryan returns along with Seth to Newport. Unaware he still may have a child.
