Since the 2.0.0 release, the FlashAdapter software has provided drivers that allow applications written to use the PalmOS 4.0 VFS API to work with the FlashAdapter. This allows software developers other than Kopsis to create applications that can access the expansion card in your FlashAdapter compatible Springboard module exactly the same way they access the SD card on a Palm m500 or the MemoryStick on a Sony Clie. This greatly increases the number of applications that you can use with your FlashAdapter.
With previous releases of the FlashAdapter software, Kopsis provided evaluation or freeware versions of several popular VFS utilities that we felt greatly enhance the usefulness of the FlashAdapter software. However, due to the need to reduce website traffic and the difficulty of keeping up with the frequent updates these utilities experience, we have decided to stop including those applications with the FlashAdapter softare download.
Instead, the table below provides links to the webpages where you can go to download the latest versions of all the utilities that were formerly included here.
LauncherIII - a VFS enabled launcher that can launch apps directly from the expansion card.
PowerRUN - tool for creating launcher "shortcuts" that launch apps from the expansion card and automatically move the app's data from the card to RAM (and back when the app exits).
MSMount - turns a directory on the expansion card into a read-only extension of the Visor's RAM (OS 3.5+ Visors only!).
Note that this is only a few items from a rapidly growing list of applications with VFS support. You can find many more VFS enabled applications by searching for "VFS" on a Palm software distribution site such as PalmGear or Handango. We will be expanding this list in the future.
