Best friends with Aaron, TwentyOneRest's lead singer, they were practically inseperable as children when Aaron decided that he was going to play guitar and Orion was to play bass. Funny story, but that's how it goes when you're a couple of kids with a dream..
He's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. That I promise you. He's always had positive things to say, and a smile across his face that simply radiates into whomever is around. A laugh tends to emerge from your throat when you're talking to him, for the natural humor that he carries around as a part of his personality. The kid is just one of those people that simply make you smile. A little bit less serious than most, and more chilled out than some, he's perfect to be a bassist, that I promise you.
Gifted with a natural charisthma and presence, in a show, your eye tends to wander toward him. Excluding the fact that he's a tall, slightly lanky fellow, and once had dreads that added to his image, you just can't help but watch him. Everything seems unforced, but motivated, uncomplicated, but not simple. It's interesting. He'll make silly wise cracks to the audience and to his band mates, but it adds to the relationship between the band and their audience. There's a unity brought together by how down to earth Orion is.
Have you ever sat and listened to the latest bass riffs in TwentyOneRest? Noticeably look at 'Lightshow'.. Near the middle of the song, everything sort of fades out minus what seems only Aaron's vocals and Orion's bass. Of course, really Weston's singing back up, Brant's lightly rat-tat-tapping the drums, and there's a subtle hum of a guitar or two.. But, it all seems to be just vocals and bass.. Notice that bass, that's why Orion's phenomenal. It's not that it's a difficult tab in the slightest, or that he's an immensely creative genius for thinking it up, it's just how well it comes across and how perfectly it fits that moment in the song.
That unforced perfect fit is what makes him beautiful, it's what makes him just right. There are the people that you want to meet in life, just because for no good reason they'll just make you smile because of who they are.. He's one of those people, and I hope everyone gets to know him, I'm glad I did. Never had I had anything negative to say about him, and I doubt I ever will. Hopefully, he'll always follow his dreams, like anyone else, because within the band he rests as one fourth of a larger dream, that I hope never falters.
