Brant - individuality, independence, self-confidence, initiative, and an inclination to physical activity.. arent inclined to merge opinions and viewpoints with others, to accept compromise, or to work in a subservient position against own will.. outward expression is invariably quite direct and candid.. others find it difficult to accept domineering and, at times, argumentative manner.

Leiland - natural interest in the welfare of fellow man, and a desire to help and serve others in a humanitarian way.. responsible and generous, although somewhat scattering and disorganized at times.. any jobs requiring systematic and conscientious effort, or involving any form of drudgery, dismay.. in work, seek a position offering self-expression through contact with people, such as sales or teaching, or a position giving scope to your creative, artistic talents.. good-natured and likeable, and people tend to confide in  and seek advice in personal problems.. others sense sincere interest and desire to help, and can always be counted on to see the bright side of any problem.

Bolton - happy, versatile, and expressive nature, with good business judgment and a fine sense of responsibility, which should enable the ability to establish congenial relationships in positions of trust where you are dealing with the public.. clever, quick mind, with the ability to accomplish a great deal in a short period of time, although it is not easy to systematize efforts.. expression along musical and artistic lines and desire to entertain and to meet and mix with people of refinement and culture.
Take Orlando Bloom and cross him with Chester Bennington and Jason Mraz.. Then add Jim Carey's personality.. Now you're close.. Mix in a little of Jimmy Chaimberlin's skill.. That's it..

It takes a little while sometimes to get to know certain people, or really for them to get to know you. Brant Leiland Bolton is one of those types. Born November 24, 1980, and growing up in Lake Arrowhead, CA, the extremely talented drummer of TwentyOneRest is a real diamond in the rough. Nick Rodney knew him from years before, so when Chris "Impala" left TwentyOneRest to venture into new directions, Nick threw in the name and Brant came to be a part of the chemistry.

Honestly, if you've never been to a TwentyOneRest show, go sometime and just watch him. Note the fluidity of his movements, the speed, the precision, the complete expression that washes over his face as he mentally ventures somewhere that no one can. It's the place where all there is is the rhythm and the music, and it acts as his muse, allowing him to make it perfect every time. It's remarkable, it really is, and I love it. If I were half as cool as this kid, hell, I'd be fucking awesome. I hope sees how truly awesome he is in and of himself.

One minute you'll be talking to him and he's quiet and quite respectable, the next he's off in a comedic rant. You never know just what to expect when you're with him, but you always know that you'll have a good time. If you take the time to get to know him, really get to know him, he'll be one of the best friends you've ever had for deep down he truly is one of the sweetest people I know. How many people can you say have ever sent you a letter of thanks just cause you sent them a birthday card, or who've written a letter of appology when their band has stood you up.. Heh, yea.. Brant's the sweet one.

There's an essence about him, an aura, a feeling. The words to entirely describe it are few and far between, but its positive, defenitely charming, charisthmatic, eclectic, and utterly individual. If anything, he's the entire personality behind the music, behind the beat. If it weren't for him, sometimes I don't think they could've ever stayed together through the hard times, and I sure as hell know they wouldn't be as good as they are today.

As with most of them, there have been some defenite times the two of us have walked on some horribly shaky ground. Peace has been had, and everything is pretty much good once again, which makes me more elated than I have the ability to express. I love him like I do any of my best friends, and I want the best to come to him, and to the band as a whole. He's got such a gift, such a talent, one that damn near mirrors his inspiration, and I just hope he knows that. Sadly, until recently I took for granted how genuinely gifted he was, but now that I've seen it, I don't think I'll ever be able to not see it again.
