Traditional Chinese clothing, including jackets, dresses and night attire, were enhanced with knotted sashes, belt ornaments and button knots. It is believed that knotting creates an atmosphere of well-being, good luck and health, longevity and harmony.
The versatile button knot translates well into modern knotted jewelry, and is widely used in my chinese knotted designs. Each item is unique and handmade.
