1993 Fountain Pajot Tobago 35 Catamaran For Sale

Introduction

Lazy Cat, a 1993 FP Tobago 35 catamaran is for sale. The boat was purchased in 2007  in Annapolis, MD and completely outfitted by a professional marine service company. The boat was then sailed from Annapolis, MD to the Dominican Republic and we even met A Mermaid along the way. You can follow the links for more photos and a story about the trip. The owner, Alan, has now hurt his back, started building a new house, has not used the boat for 3 months, and would like to sell her ASAP. The boat is in good condition and was never chartered.

The boat is located at Ocean World Marina & Resort, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. There is a major airport nearby with good connections from many US cities. There are also many hotels nearby that range from dirt cheap to 5 stars. There are slips available at the marina or it is an easy down wind sail back to the US.

I helped Alan sail the boat down to the DR and when he decided to sell, offer to add this web page to my site. The price is $100k firm. For more information, photos, etc, contact Alan through email at [email protected].

Construction and Layout

The Tobago 35 catamaran is foam core with solid glass below the water line. It has good bridge deck clearance with rounded corners, so wave banging is minimal.  There is a very large cockpit with a table on the port side. There is no exterior wood, so maintenance is minimal. The twin diesel engines provide excellent control for docking. Each hull has a large swim step for easy access to the water or dinghy. In the above photo, the dinghy was lowered a little to allow a small amount of rain water to drain.

The salon settee is shown in red. Just aft of the settee on the port side is the nav station. The full galley is on the starboard side of the salon. The 3 cabins are shown in dark blue. The head is shown in light blue. The salon offers an excellent forward view and the window is shaded by the cabin top, so covers are not required to keep it cool.
