Dad's Christmas Page

Dad's up to his old tricks.  As if work is not demanding enough, he has taken up a new sky sport this year, paragliding.  Although he claims it is not as dangerous as skydiving, that comparison doesn't do much to calm friends and family.  Oh well, at least he's well insured!  He's taking lessons from local Sky God - Mike Eberle.  Mike is attempting to convey sound piloting judgment to our dear old dad - We are all sure its a daunting task.

Dad flies from a local peak, Tiger Mountain.  The trail head and landing zone are only three miles from our house - its the adventure sport of convenience.  The following photos were taken from this local venue.

 Looks safer than skydiving!?

In addition to sky sports, Dad continues to teach skiing, and had the opportunity to play in the mountains outside Anchorage, Alaska on this years summer adventure to visit friends and family in the north.  The following pictures tell the story.

Small children are required to wear helmets.
